About this deal

By nature of the character design, the combiner is highly asymmetrical, with one arm made of two Deluxe figures and one arm of one Voyager, which may lead to imbalance/weight distribution issue. And the two legs, although of similar size and being in the same size class, are massively different in design, so the individual weight and even center of gravity might need to be carefully planned out. Mega Power Bots Devastator is a simple toy for younger children, featuring plenty of playing sounds and flashing lights. His limbs have limited swivel articulation and do not detach into separate vehicles. He has a distinctly more humanoid stature than normal. Reach past the big screen and build the ultimate Transformers collection with Studio Series figures, inspired by iconic movie scenes and designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers movie universe. One of the Mixmasters was part of The Fallen's early Decepticons. On Earth, he and his brothers were sicced on the turncoat Jetfire. Mixmaster was the last one standing and managed to get the Seeker in a crushing embrace, informing him "You die". Jetfire got out of this by teleporting into Earth's atmosphere, causing Mix's death by atmosphere re-entry. Tales of the Fallen #3 It is presumed that at some point during the civil war on Cybertron, a surviving Mixmaster(s) sided with Megatron, the new protégé of the Fallen. Unlike regular Power Bots, and unlike other portrayals of the character in general, Devastator features a transformation! It consists of putting his arms up and laying him flat on his stomach, which lets him roll around using the wheels on his limbs.

Update: Several of our members pointed out that there are some non-official configurations for Devastator’s legs and head that will help you to display him in four-legged mode. Amusingly, the prototype image for the Studio Series figure, revealed in early 2019, presented the figure with a grey face and green lit mouth similar to the original promotional images for the movie, with the final figure using red paint applications for a screen-accurate face. ICONIC MODES: 8 figures combine to form the Devastator figure in 11 steps. Figures also convert between robot and construction vehicle modes. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. Imagine you're Shogo Hasui around 2017. As part of the overseas product team you had been working on the new Studio Series a while and the whole team were having a blast especially with the movie CGI files available for reference. Then you went in a meeting one day and you were told Hasbro wanted the full Constructicons line up in the Studio Series, that can combine. And of course being the virtuoso veteran on the team, you were nominated to spearhead this project. Aside from all the wtf damn you Hasbro thoughts that also ran through Takashi Kunihiro san's head when he was handed the design task of the RotF Leader Prime/Jetfire combo, you sit down and take a look at some of the difficulties you have on hand:figures combine to form the Devastator figure in 11 steps. Figures also convert between robot and construction vehicle modes. Perfect for fans looking for a more advanced converting figure. For kids and adults ages 8 and up After Optimus prime combined with Jetfire's parts, NEST informed him of an "ECHO ROMEO" terrorizing Cairo. When Optimus approached the signal, he discovered it was Devastator, leading him to engaged the titan. After a long and tiresome battle, Optimus triumphed over the giant, leaving Devastator in scraps. Devastator is made up of 52,632 geometric pieces and 11,716,127 polygons. The total length of all the pieces is 13.84 miles. [8]

Although Mixmaster/Scavenger could've easily had tabs for Overload's legs, overall the combined mode feels well planned out imho. Maybe we'll find out if how Hasui planned out the design processes, but the end result is excellent all things considered. This mold was also used to make Bonecrusher for the Japanese-exclusive Generation 1-colored Devastator set. So realizing how big a bullet I'd have to bite to buy an aftermarket Scrapmetal once I had judged SS Devastator as being a sufficient level of want, I decided the easiest solution would be to get this set and pawn off the extra Long Haul I got literal days before this was announced some time in the future. Wouldn't you know it, the one toy in this entire set who's individual release has the highest aftermarket markup, and he's the one with a missing piece. I went from bummed that I have to now carve out a replacement piece for him, to terrified when I tried to connect him to Hightower and couldn't find the attachment peg and thinking "Oh crap, don't tell me that's the piece I'm missing", to relieved when I actually found the peg and confirmed from videos online that yes it is the front wheel that's missing. Edit: Nevermind, Scavenger wasn't misassembled. I just tried attaching the struts while they were behind him instead of in front of him. STUDIO SERIES LEADER CLASS: Leader Class figures are 8.5-inch collectible action figures inspired by iconic movie scenes and designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers movie universe. The "Mixmaster" body-type was among the very first of these new beings, one of several "builders" who would construct a harvester when a suitable sun had been found. Once built, the device would drain the energy of these stars, thus replenishing the AllSpark. Defiance #4 We also have comparison shots next to his ROTF “ancestor”, Combiner Wars Devastator and several other Studio Series figures. We are sure your optics will be pleased with this new incarnation of ROTF Devastator. However, a tenth vehicle is also present during the combination sequence just behind Hightower for a brief moment, this being a Volvo excavator with a Decepticon insignia (the same vehicle prop used for Scrapmetal in the early barge scene). Does this mean Scrapmetal is a part of Devastator or is this just a continuity error? Who knows.
