In case of more frequent or severe pain, the dose may be increased for a short period, up to 10 tablets per day. Long term uses at high doses can result in undesirable effects such as hypercalcaemia, hypermagnesaemia and milk-alkali syndrome, especially in patients with renal insufficiency.
