An additional Footprint can also be pitched first to help prevent the underside of your tent getting dirty and provide protection from small tears and holes. Lightweight tents are designed to be used quite successfully without any form of groundsheet and we would only recommend taking one if you expect to be camping on hard, stony ground or you want to actively extend the life of your tent and don't mind the extra weight. In conclusion I’m very happy with my Helium 100 and I definitely don’t regret buying it. I think Force Ten (Vango) have done a very good job in producing a great tent with such a great price tag. I’d definitely recommend one.

Did you know that 1 person can produce up to 1 pint of condensation per night? So, let’s say you have 5 people in a tent, that is potentially 5 pints of water inside your tent! Other likely sources of moisture are wet shoes, clothes, dogs, cooking, even the air itself! Warm air can hold more moisture than cold air, as the temperature falls at night the more moisture is released into the air. Fact, even without occupants, the air in a six-man tent holds approximately 1 pint of water! This one person tent features a cleverly-designed, hub-connected, all-in-one skeletal pole, which forms the main structure. A smaller transverse pole then slots across the apex of this structure stretching out the peak to maximise headroom.
