I jumped right into book two after reading book one and all I can say is what a duet this has been!!! Honestly this has been such a good duet I couldn't put either book down and was well reading into the early hours of the morning!!! I can't wait to read other stories in this series I hope some of the secondary characters get a story.

If you hate your self then definitely read this and if you hate someone else then recommend them this 💀 Liked the ending and how everything came together, liked that things between Kirill and Nikolai were left unresolved, for me that felt more real and also will lead into Nikos story with Sofia. Oh, Kirill! Straight away, you can tell Kirill means business. He's been hardened by the life he has been made to lead because of a love he'd do anything to protect, only to lose it anyway. Monsters are made, not born yet Kirill was both. Unfortunately, Molly realized this too late. He may have forgiven her for running before but when he finds her again, all bets are off. Kirill is determined to get a ring on her finger no matter what he has to do to get her down the aisle. Molly is pretty sure what he may do but he doesn't know what she's hiding. It's nine months in the making.

This leads Kirill to go to his dad for help a Bravata Don. Kirill has stayed away from his dad and wants nothing to do with him but he did it to protect Molly. Fast forward to present time. Molly has been looking for Kirill. Kirill has been obsessively looking for Molly. Kirill and Molly met in HS and bonded at 16/17yrs old. They became BFF and fell in love hard. Something happens w her Dad and she asks Kirill for help. If he loved her SO much to the extent we are being told then he should have stayed celibate. Molly did it! It’s either they both sleep with others or they both stay celibate.

He was looking for her, loving her but also wanting revenge since he blames her for his life in the mafia, a life he never wanted. But he wants revenge first. So he treats her like an object for the entire first book. He refuses to sleep with her in his bed. Gives her a separate room. Makes her wear degrading things. He’s super cold and standoffish. He doesn’t want to open his heart to her again. So he does everything he can to keep her in her place. They don’t communicate or even really talk about themselves and the past 7yrs or what happened that night. I was recommended this on Tiktok and for the love of god I’m traumatised which is an UNDERSTATMENT i need therapy after that . When he finds her working as a bartender in a gentlemen's club, he becomes obsessed until he takes over her life. By the time she realized he was not the same boy she was in love with, a lot happened. What I liked about this book was the overall story, the history of the characters, chemistry, the mafia element, and the brothers' feud.This was a really great conclusion to the duet. Mila Kane has managed to wrap up Kirill and Molly's story and still leave you wanting more. Thankfully we'll get more from the Chernov Bratva in the form of Niko. For someone I hated in the beginning she did an amazing job at turning that into a love-to-hate. Look forward to his and Sofia's story. First let me say many will love this read. It hits all the marks. ✨First loves, ✨heartbreak, ✨obsession, ✨2nd chance, ✨staking, ✨forced proximity, ✨OTT JP, ✨touch her and die, ✨a virgin FMC, ✨Mafia family drama and a ✨HEA. So this is why I still gave 2 stars. Ok, I’ll give you some leeway because he was a young, dumb idiot when the misunderstanding transpired. However 7 years later, this idiot is faced not only with new information but a mountain of evidence to support it and but the big bad mafia dude is too dumb to change his course. I should have Loved this read. Instead I was beyond frustrated, confused about who they really were, upset and just overall annoyed. If I loved anything I loved Nikolai he was funny and caring towards Molly he could have killed her but he took care of her. I loved every scene he was part of the fact that he was supposed to be the psychopath hurts my head when it is CLEARLY Kiril and Molly .

Do you want my child, Molly? Have I really trapped you this time?” - took his sweet time to realise why are you even questioning it when you KNOW the answer 😭 They work together, whilst Kirill does everything he can to find his Molly. He eventually does and takes her home, her fighting the whole way. She can't get over everything that he's done. She's strong and fights him the whole time, whilst Kirill is his unapologetic self and does what he wants. It's not until they have a scare that she realises she can't live without him and she chooses to wait. You see my problem. But Atleast in this book he understood he was in the wrong and apologised but still refused to let her go if your sorry youd say im not good enough just go but no kiril could never😭😂Finally having Molly in his grasp again only to watch her leave him is the worst pain he's ever faced. He has no choice but to let her run again but he will find her and there will be no losing her ever again. In the meantime, he'll have to figure out how to deal with his brother and father. This story runs at a moderate pace and in dual povs, lots of Bratva action but a bit less spicy than book one as they balance their roles: she, his queen rather than captive, and he, making amends but still the boss. There were times where the sweet boy Kirill Lewis made an appearance, too, but mostly Kirill is the darker, made man he’s become.
