Set 5 years after the events of the original series, the now-teenaged Ben and Gwen Tennyson return to action after Grandpa Max goes missing. The Forever Knights are a British secret society/ cult first formed during the Middle Ages that are dedicated to collecting and studying alien technology, usually by illegal means. Any aliens they capture along the way are dissected and studied, and any humans caught with them are deemed worthless and disposed of. They also have a robotic dragon that protects one of their castles. It is revealed in Ultimate Alien that the reason for their actions is to combat Dagon, an entity from another dimension that nearly conquered the Earth in the Middle Ages were it not for the Forever Knights' immortal Founder George. When George left them, the Forever Knights began to splinter under various self-titled Forever Kings who transformed their knights' duty into a genocidal policy toward anything alien, leading to xenophobia, discrimination, and racism towards other species of aliens from other planets by human beings.
In the original series, the Earth's Plumbers were a secret government organization that protected the universe from any threat. Their main base is located inside Mount Rushmore (where the Null Void projector and Sub-Energy were stored), with additional bases located inside Fort Knox and the Space Needle. Their main adversary was Vilgax. Max Tennyson was a Plumber in his youth. Most of the Plumbers on Earth have disbanded; however, a few members remain in a semi-active capacity. In the episode "So Long and Thanks for All the Smoothies", the universe is destroyed and so then Ben as Alien X simply builds another universe that was just like the old one. Another major storyline is that Earth was taken over by the Incursean Empire. Ben was defeated and exiled into space where his sentence was death, but he had an unlikely ally. Azmuth also gave him his Incursean transformation which allowed him to return to Earth and save it thus ending the Incursean rule and saving Earth yet again. When Albedo returned he recreated the Ultimatrix and attempted to take over the universe by stealing Azmuth's intelligence, but he was stopped. Gwen and Kevin do make occasional appearances now, but they are simply minor recurring characters now. Max Tennyson is a part of Ben's team again and has been in nearly every episode. Spitter has showed only one ability so far. He inflates (possibly from the creation of the green-yellow slime) and then spits out a concentrated blast of slime. The slime is very slippery and can be acidic and has been shown to be highly conductive. It is also assumed he uses his sharp teeth as an offensive weapon.
Eye Guy's upper-body is covered with eyes, hence his name, although he ironically has no eyes in his head, which consists of a mouth and a very large pair of bat like ears for his head. The Omnitrix appears in the first two incarnations of the franchise ( Ben 10 and Ben 10: Alien Force), but Ben had to destroy it and use the Ultimatrix in the Ultimate Alien series. The Ultimatrix had most of the same functionality as the Omnitrix, but would allow the user to transform the alien into its Ultimate Form (how the species and its DNA would evolve in a one-million-year simulation). In the final episode of Ultimate Alien, Azmuth takes the Ultimatrix from Ben and replaces it with the New Omnitrix–the original version has been a prototype. Stinkfly can excrete high-pressure streams of liquids from the pollen ducts in his eye stalks and mouth. The type of liquid can range in use from flammable toxin, putting out fires to an immobilizing jelly. In Don't Drink the Water, Ben's child form of Stinkfly, Stinkyfly could emit a powerful herbicide gas through flatulation, it is unknown if older Stinkfly can do this. It is shown in Forge of Creation, he shot a light blue beam when Ultimate Swampfire trapped Aggregor with his vines. For melee combat, Stinkfly has a sharp tail and four pincers in its legs. It is supposedly the result of some Galvan scientists' dumping of chemicals with self-replicating nanotechnology to that moon, probably by mistake. Brainstorm is a Cerebrocrustacean that possesses the ability to control electricity energy and make force fields around objects. Brainstorm can also telekinetically move objects from humans to a train using his electrical energy. He is also intellectually gifted, being one of Ben's smartest aliens with an IQ of 10 Over the years, the series has exploded in popularity. 5YL has received overwhelmingly positive responses from millions of fans across the globe, including approval from those who have worked on the series' proper.
