About this deal

Pretty Boy: Was very handsome. As in, eunuch Space Marines from legions not known for their aesthetic appreciation gibbered a bit at the sight of him. In the closing days of the 41st Millennium, heroes like Dante were points of light in the growing darkness. He stood, as he had done for a millennium or more, between the enemies of Mankind and the Imperium. [3] If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active. Perdition Pistol - In battle, Dante also wields the Perdition Pistol, a unique Astartes-sized Infernus Pistol crafted using technical knowledge long since lost by the Adeptus Mechanicus, making it an extremely powerful ranged weapon. Only a warrior as great and as loyal to the Emperor of Mankind as Lord Commander Dante is permitted to wield such a potent and ancient weapon. The Perdition Pistol was upscaled to properly fit Dante's now much more massive frame following his crossing of the Rubicon Primaris to become a Primaris Marine. His very presence inspires troops to acts of valour that are extraordinary even for Space Marines. Because of this reputation, when it came to choosing a leader for the Armageddon intervention, the Masters of the other two Chapters taking part (the Salamanders and the Ultramarines) unanimously asked for him to be placed in charge. [1] Dante is a legend not just amongst the Blood Angels but also amongst the common citizenry of the Imperium, to whom he is a saviour, a golden-armoured hero who descends to save them in their darkest hour. [3]

Angelsword — Death Company Stormraven Gunship, took part in the Diamor Campaign on the planet Amethal. [37b] The Blood Angels maintain close ties with their Successor Chapters, particularly after the Devastation of Baal. Great Conclaves of the Sanguinary Brotherhood are held to decide certain actions of Successor Chapters. [57a] CultureMiles to Go Before I Sleep: Older than most Astartes by many centuries, there is a part of him that longs for rest. But prophecies from the age of Sanguinius foretell a time when the Emperor will be in grave peril and depend on a golden warrior to defend him. Dante believes there is at least a chance this refers to him, so he will not let himself die until this has come to pass. The Devastation of Baal strongly implies that the spirit of Sanguinius himself will not let Dante die. For eleven hundred years, I have fought and I have seen the darkness in our galaxy. I have seen the vileness of the alien and the heresy of the mutant. I have witnessed the sin of possession. I have seen all the evil that the galaxy harbours, and I have slain all whose presence defiles the Emperor. I have seen what you will see. I have fought what you must fight, and I have slain what you must slay...so fear not and be proud, for we are the sons of Sanguinius, the protectors of Mankind. Aye, we are indeed the Angels of Death." Lord Commander Dante has grown weary of his burdens despite all of his success, or perhaps because of it. He has lived far longer than he should, and the burden of Terran centuries grows ever more cumbersome. Only one thing prevents Dante succumbing to ennui. Recorded in the Scrolls of Sanguinius are the primarch's visions of a great battle to overshadow all others. This vision was predicted before his death at the hands of Horus, that a lone "Golden Warrior" would ultimately stand between the Emperor of Mankind and His destruction. Many Imperial scholars have assumed this prophecy refers to Sanguinius' own stand against Horus aboard his flagship, the Vengeful Spirit, during the Battle of Terra at the end of the Horus Heresy. Through some inherent instinct, perhaps a lingering trace of his Primarch's fabled far-seeing eye, Dante believes otherwise. One day, perhaps one day soon, the defence of the now-helpless Emperor, who resides trapped on His Golden Throne, will rest in Dante's hands, and he aims to fulfil this final duty before the darkness claims him. Warhammer Community: The Legendary Commander Dante Crosses the Rubicon Primaris (Posted on 16/03/2023) (Last accessed on 16/03/2023)

He is well known for his perfect mastery of flight, being able to fall from the skies with incomparable precision. Close combat. The introductory paragraph kind of gave it away here. Your Chapter tactic, Doctrine, and unit selection all push you very hard into melee tactics, and it’s where the book excels. With each new bloody victory, the dire legends that surrounded the IXth grew and spread. They became spectres that haunted the wild places of the Great Crusade, the terrors loosed by the Emperor to clear his path across the stars. The IXth accepted this duty with a grim pride, never shirking in the mantle that they wore. Each campaign was undertaken with a quiet, brooding hunger for blood and death that was as terrifying as it was effective. They fought without mercy and paid no heed to anything other than the destruction of the enemy. Shunned and isolated from the wider Imperium, they began to descend into charnel cults and bloody rituals. Various Red Cults formed as the Legion was broken apart by the widening Crusade, and their brutality attracted censure at places such as Yarant. They began to only maintain line infantry and jump troops, in part due to the reluctance of the Imperium to supply them with more advanced weapons. [44c] Forlorn Fury – 1CP/2CP –Use at the start of the first battle round, before the first turn begins. One DEATH COMPANY unit can make a Normal Move, to a maximum of 12″, but must end more than 9″ from enemy models. DREADNOUGHT models or units of 6+ pay 2CP, units of 5 or fewer pay 1. This was erratad to be once per game again, which is probably fair. It’s also worth pointing out that you don’t get a 12″ move with any unit – you get a regular move using your Movement characteristic capped at 12″. A strong stratagem for rushing Death Company up and into the fight as fast as possible and controlling space – just don’t let yourself get penned in by Nurglings or something. A Commander Dante [9 PL, 1CP, 165pts]: Frag & Krak grenades, Inferno pistol, The Axe Mortalis, Warlord [1CP]M40: Secoris Tragedy — A boarding of an unknown Space Hulk infested with Genestealers met with disaster. The entire Chapter was nearly wiped out; only 50 Blood Angels survived. [32] What do you think about the new Dante model? Are you excited to see what else is on the way for Blood Angels? Belsarius Fury — Predator Destructor that took part in the Third War of Armageddon. Destroyed during the defence of Hades Five. [6a] Visage of Deat h. An interesting one; it’s effectively a death mask, making the bearer -1 to hit in melee, and also allows them to turn off Objective Secured for enemy units within 3″. Stripping your enemy of the ability to hold objectives can really help you lean in to the elite-focused Blood Angels playstyle, and the dual defensive effect is neat too. B+
