About this deal

Once this is done you're ready to record in Audacity, just like you would in the AmpliTube software. As indicated earlier, I set the gain input of the Left channel to 9 (90%) to get -12 dB for the raw recording using the meter in Hindenburg Journalist Pro. In Hindenburg Journalist Pro, I set the channel to record only from the left channel of the iRig Pro Duo I/O. All recordings below are WAV 48 kHz mono and normalized. They told me to use the USB-A cable with an adaptor to USB-C instead. This works. I now have power to the iRig when plugged into the iPad. I plugged in a Fender Stratocaster and recorded some rhythm guitar clips to listen for any tone differences. I was able to discern extra clarity and brightness in the recording. Low-mids were slightly fuller as well. Without an A/B test, this would be very difficult to notice. Make no mistake – The sound quality here is solid. On it’s own, the quality you can achieve will rival what’s available from larger and more expensive home interfaces for desktop use. Users of the original iRig Pro Duo will feel at home with the performance they’ve come to expect. Conclusions My daughter got AmpliTube on PC with that free QR scan, she did some testing but failed. I will have to sit with her and dop the troubleshooting. Min load condition is as follows: music playing, phantom power OFF. This side includes the input for optional external power and MIDI

The best mobile interfaces to buy at a glance:

However, when plugging my headphones into the Irig input I can clearly hear the audio coming from my Dj controller. In addition, this also applies when plugging my external speaker into the ‘THRU’ input using a 3.5mm to RAC cable The iRig Pro Duo I/O has two XLR / 1/4" combo guitar, mic, and line inputs. Plug your guitar straight into the interface or plug in some microphones to record singing, spoken voice, amps, and other instruments. The Class-A preamps help keep your recordings sounding clean and clear thanks to the improved gain range (controllable via the front facing gain controls). The +48v phantom power means you can record with studio quality microphones, supplying them with enough power to operate them. The iRig Pro Duo I/O also features MIDI 2.5mm inputs and outputs so it can be usedas a MIDI interface as well. Whether you're recording your part of a live set or an interview for a podcast the iRig Pro Duo I/O can help you achieve crisp, clearsound. Compatibility

You should also notice the green signal indicators bouncing up and down, as you play. If they're red, your signal is clipping which means volume will have to be lowered, either on your guitar (or amp) or at one of the mixing points in the application. PreSonus Audiobox USB 96: One of the best 2-channel interfaces on the market but doesn't quite match the mobile credentials Many of these interfaces are designed to work with mobile devices foremost and are small and powered by USB or disposable batteries. Some were originally designed for computers and later updated to run with mobile. There’s a bit of a tradeoff with the latter; while you may typically get better preamps, their power draw can make them less flexible for portable rigs. The best mobile interfaces to buy at a glance: The PSU is great to get around always needing batteries, especially if you are not being mobile with the unit. The portability of the Duo is certainly a nice bonus, though I found that to be a feature that intrigued me far less than advertised. This dual-input interface comes with a secondary preamp voicing to offer brighter tones and a sound closer to the brand’s more expensive ISA preamps. While the iPad Pro and Scarlett 2i2 pair-up is wonderful – considering it can be powered through USB-C – we wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for long sessions. Max load condition: both inputs connected to two 1,5mA phantom powered loads, input gains set to maximum, outputs set to maximum. I recently bought a Irig Stream Solo device. However I have exhausted my strength in trying to get it to work on my iPhone.

Included software: Cubasis LE, DSPMixFX software, REV-X reverb, Channel Strip, Guitar Amp Classics FX With all dual-input interfaces I recall having tested, they all monitor the left channel source in the Left ear of stereo headphones, and the Right channel in the right ear of the headphones, except if the interface has a mono mode for recording, or a specific mono mode for monitoring. However, even though the Rig Pro Duo I/O does not offer any switch for mono of either type, when monitoring the discrete inputs are surprisingly centered in the connected stereo headphone. This is not a problem, but it is indeed worth noting. It connects to both machines via the supplied cable. And both machines recognise the iRig because it appears in the Microphone options. Yes, you can indeed connect an unbalanced electret condenser microphone to the iRig Pro Duo I/O, as long as you use a VXLR+ converter (illustrated above, covered in these articles). The VXLR+ accepts the 48-volt phantom power from the iRig Pro Duo I/O and converts it into lower voltage bias voltage (plugin power) for these microphones, while adapting the connections. I tested it with the iRig Pro Duo I/O and it worked perfectly well, either with an XLR cable or by plugging the XLR+ directly into the iRig Pro Duo I/O’s XLR input. But when I attempt to record the audio from my Dj controller using my iPhone camera, no audio from the controller is recognised in the saved camera recording. The only audio that can be heard is any external sounds being received into the iPhone mic. Been talking to Support and they say the USB-C cable you supply with the iRig no longer works in the new iPads. Wish I'd been told this sooner! :
