After hearing about the merlin sleep suit, we knew we owed it to ourselves to at least give it a try – what did we have to lose?

This worked for us but you must discuss with your own pediatrician to make a safe plan for your baby - every baby develops differently and has different needs. For us, co-sleeping, with Hudson in our bedroom or in our bed, resulted in a very exhausted family. In the early days of parenting, it can feel like getting quality sleep for both you and your little one is impossible. A baby’s first year is filled with so many milestones. For many parents, sleeping through the night regularly might be the one we all look forward to the most. A few tips to make sure baby’s temperature doesn’t get too hot in the magic merlin suit is to use appropriate layers and be sure the room temperature isn’t too hot. We then dry off, put on some lotion, a diaper and jammies. Then we lower the lights and I feed him in our recliner in our bedroom.
However, once babies can roll over on their own it’s no longer safe to swaddle your baby for sleep.
