About this deal

Use the speaker for music or for home theater use. It can also be used while playing games. The Bronze 50 is good for small to medium-sized rooms. If you have large spaces, you need to use it as a part of home theater. Compatible devices: The choice of four modern finishes and stylish contrasting baffle give the Bronze 50s a superior appearance and ensure they will complement the décor of any room. Should you prefer to have the speakers mounted on the wall, there’s an option to do so utilising the rear fixing point and FIX-M speaker mount.

Placed no further than a metre from the rear and side walls in my larger listening room and toed-in a tad, its ability to fill the space with music big-boy style requiring only a modest tweak of volume from a Cambridge CXA61 integrated amp (HFC 459) is very impressive. That 90dB claimed sensitivity seems no exaggeration. When parties with loud music are permitted again, the Bronze 500 and Deep Purple will be ready and willing. Many people start their high-fidelity journey as a cash-strapped student. It was when I was in high school that I become entranced by high fidelity music, but finances were limited to that generated by eight hours per week as a shop assistant. Value was paramount then, which is why I wish there had been something around like Monitor Audio’s new Bronze 50 loudspeaker! From that point on I heard the Bronze 100 speaker’s over arching personality. Which was this: tonal balance. Unlike some speaker designs I’ve heard in the past, the Bronze 100s took advantage of its relatively large – for its class – size. That is, it utilised bass to the full but never pushed it too far. And that was a critical aspect of the speaker’s performance which I’ll return to in a moment.

Although it is known to produce ‘too bright’ sound, Klipsch already fixed this issue. Klipsch speakers are excellent in terms of performance and features. The cost is reasonable as well. The tweeter’s so-called Uniform Dispersion Waveguide is essentially the same as that of the Silver series from the range above and acts like a sophisticated phase plug to better control off-axis dispersion from the slightly recessed dome. It also fine tunes time alignment with the large main drivers and slightly lowers the frequency point it hands over to them. You can consider this a mid-priced speaker. The overall cost will increase when you add an amplifier and subwoofer.

So yes, that price point mattered. The larger price meant a larger build budget, more opportunity to use better quality parts and more complex techniques. Nevertheless, what the Bronze 100 speakers showed here was that they walked the same path as the 15i speakers. The path of quality sounds, that is. They may have been a few steps behind the Martin Logans but the Bronze 100 speakers were on the right lines. You could see how throwing more money at the 100s would allow them to catch up to the Martin Logans. CONCLUSION C-CAM mid-bass driver featuring updated cone geometries and Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology which allows the speaker to have a deeper, fuller sound while retaining a clean and precise presentation Generally speaking, if you have a look at woofer size then the Silver 100 7G from Monitor Audio has a larger driver of 8”. The Bronze 50 has only a 5.25” driver. Silver 100 7G is a bigger speaker than the Bronze 50. For small spaces with space limitations, Bronze 50 is a better choice, and it also costs less than the Silver 100 model. If you have medium to large rooms, the Silver 100 7G will suit you and you will not need an additional subwoofer. Where should I place a subwoofer with Monitor Audio Bronze 50 speaker? Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling for highest quality current transfer through the signal chainIn the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ. Spanning 376 x 231 x 325mm, these 8 Ohm speakers weigh in at 7.8kg. At 87db you’re looking at a powering it with an amplifier of 30W or higher. SOUND QUALITY The new Atmos topper is an exciting addition. Surprisingly, it's the first speaker of its type that Monitor Audio has produced, and is designed to dimensionally match the 6in-driver speakers - so the Bronze 50 standmounter and Bronze 200 floorstander. It has its own, upward-firing 4.5in driver.

The speaker has very easy setup that will take few minutes to complete. doesn’t come with any mobile app or remote control. The control options like volume button is located on the rear side so it might be a bit difficult to reach it. It also doesn’t have any option to switch between inputs. When connected to PC, it will easily work with any need of additional software or app. What this did for the Bronze 50s was infuse the soundstage with air and space that allowed detail to tumble around the soundstage and for emotion to be grabbed and presented to the ear.The Bronze 100 speakers added both strength but they also revealed more frailty when required because there was always the opportunity to provide a contrast between the strong and the weak. The Bronze 100 speakers, in other words, had a greater musical vocabulary to explain the music in basic terms. The 50s did a great job but they gave you more of an outline when compared to the 100s. The 100s entered into more depth. The sonic differences between the Bronze 50s and the 3020i designs were quite fascinating. Because they danced on the point of a needle. Class-leading drive units can only perform at their best if housed within a decent cabinet and here, once again, the Bronze range excels. The 21/15mm (baffle/cabinet) MDF construction features internal bracing for reduced vibration – giving cleaner, less distorted audio. Silver-plated, oxygen-free copper internal cable gives the highest quality current transfer, keeping the signal optimised. The entry-level Bronze 50 is bigger and more of a 'proper' stereo speaker than the outgoing Bronze 1, too, which was often thought of as more of a satellite speaker for surround systems. The Bronze 100 speakers models maintain the quality of construction and sound from this Monitor Audio line but move the sound onwards in terms of maturity from the lower-cost Bronze 50s.
