About this deal

It's a simple design that has less problems because there are no electrical components to be concerned with. It's small and easy to store. Unlike with some electric choppers, this manual chopper gives you more control over the grind size. You won’t have to worry about your nuts breaking the chopper. This tool features two ultra-sharp rotating stainless steel blades that can withstand hard nuts like almonds and walnuts.

The Pampered Chef Food Chopper does a good job at chopping your foods into small pieces. It's all manual and simple to use. You have control on how small you dice and chop your pieces based on how long or how much you chop. It does have some limitations because of its size. I used mine to chop up some green onions and I had to slice the green onions up first to get them to fit inside the chopper. To get it to chop you have to punch down on the top with the palm of your hand. It took a few times to get them small enough for what I needed. If a piece of food becomes wedged in the blade, remove lid, secure top of post with finger and use a fork to dislodge food. If necessary, completely remove blade post. Do not use fingers to dislodge food. While most hand choppers require you to push down to chop, this one uses a pulling action that spins the blades, like the pull-start on a lawnmower, but on a much smaller and easier scale. A nonskid ring on the bottom of the bowl keeps it from slipping, so you just rest a hand on top and pull the handle with the other hand. In testing, we also found it easy to hold the chopper at an angle when we needed to encourage small amounts of food to fall into the blades. If you are going to be using a chopper for big-batch cooking, meal prep, or occasion cooking, it might be a good idea to go for one with a bigger capacity so that you won’t have to keep working in batches to prep all the vegetables. If you’re typically just cooking for yourself and one other person, you’re probably fine to opt for a smaller, manual 1-cup chopper. Smaller choppers are great for prepping smaller items like garlic, ginger, herbs, and nuts, while larger units are great for bigger items like onions, carrots, peppers, and celery. This is a stylish nut chopper that doesn’t take up a lot of storage space. It is an affordable option, especially compared to many of the other choppers on the market. Users like this nut chopper because it makes uniform chops. This is nice especially if you want to use the chopped nuts to top a baked good.

The more expensive models will have multiple functions and chopping, like grinding meat or processing food. The KitchenAid 3.5 Cup Food Chopper won our best overall award because it's a cinch to use, has a practical size capacity, and comes in an attractive design. We also love the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper for its versatility in chopping methods and its sizable container.Tracy Britt Cool to Leave Berkshire Hathaway, Pampered Chef To Start New Venture".
