About this deal

In the first episode of the WEBTOON, Navier is attending court since Sovieshu wants to divorce her and marry his concubine Rashta instead. Navier states that she accepts the divorce, surprising nearly everyone in the room except for two people: Duke Ergi Claude of Blue Bohean and King Heinrey of the Western Kingdom. Many nobles protest her decision while Rashta smirks as she pretends to be anxious. Navier is asked again if she accepts Sovieshu’s request for divorce, and replies with a resounding “Yes. I accept.” After accepting the divorce, Navier surprises everyone in the room again, by saying that she’d like approval for her remarriage. High Priest Vimirey asks her whom she wishes to remarry. This is when Heinrey makes his grand entrance, revealing his presence at the divorce hearing. He moves to stand beside Navier as everybody else in the room starts exclaiming their surprise at his sudden appearance.

When they finished, I walked to the east building where the emperor resided. In the dining room, I joined him at our usual table, which was far too large for just the two of us. One of the older women said, “You may not know this yet since you’ve just come of age and you haven’t been in love before, Your Majesty, but…” Kaufman: A grand duke and representative from the Kingdom of Luipt who prepares trading arrangements with Navier. Kaufman felt sympathy for her as her country allows her husband to freely commit infidelity and took it upon himself to gift her with a love potion that he had crafted. Trying to prove to her that the potion would cause no harm, he tested it on himself and, having miscalculated exactly how potent it was, fell madly in love with her, even going so far as to threaten both Sovieshu and Heinrey when they got too close to her. Although Kaufman had to eventually return to his kingdom, he offered to take her with him so that she doesn't have to worry about her husband's concubine, an offer she declined. He later drugs Heinrey to fall in love with Krista, though he is able to avoid major consequences of this action by virtue of his status as an important foreign diplomat as well as his deal with Navier to use his telepathic ability to their political advantage. He later tried to make amends for his mistakes by helping her in court matters besides diplomacy. The webcomic is available to read here . The game is available on Maybe Interactive Stories app. There are talks of a South Korean live-action adaptation.

And in those characters, the potential was wasted in my view, because of a trope that I HATE: when the story pits women against women. The plot kind of creates an environment in which the main source of confrontation is a man (the emperor) and at least I didn't see him exposed as the real problematic thing for those two women. On one side we have the empress on the other the mistress, and of course, the mistress will take 99% of the responsibility, guilt, shame, and villainy in this while it should be divided with that asshole: the emperor, who is pictured mostly as the "fool" and not as the controlling and selfish traitor that he is. Countess Jou b ert: One of Navier's ladies-in-waiting from the Eastern Empire. Countess Joubert would like that Navier lives as happily as possible, whatever that means improving her deteriorating marriage with Sovieshu or outright divorcing him to remarry into a healthier relationship with Heinrey. Like Laura, Countess Joubert followed Navier to the Western Empire to be her lady-in-waiting there as well. In chapter 257 ( Go to chapter) Kaufman tells Princess Charlett that he loves her, to let Kosair can be with Violet Mastas, since they love each other. In which chapter Sovieshu sees Navier’s babiesMarquess Falhan, Countess Eliza, and vice commander Artina have protected me throughout this whole ordeal. That being said, she was very carefree and engaging and often mischievous in her crown Princess days. She often sneaked out of her home when certain "Sir Leedy" came to visit her, which was a secret code name for Sovieshu. She often hit him with pillows whenever he teased him too much or she got mad at him. Hitting him with a pillow also led to the incident of her first ever kiss.

For me...The Remarried Empress was addictive because of its main premise, the first chapter I mean it isn't a big spoiler since we know the title of the comic and I'm talking about the first chapter in it, but if you don't wanna know anything about the beginning of the story skip the rest of this paragraph, anyway in the first chapter we see an empress agreeing to a divorce and then in the next second asking for her second marriage to be approved, it was a great twist and it showed that this could be a refreshing story about a powerful female main character. And in the second chapter, until the one I read, it told the past, how all the characters arrived at that scene in the first chapter. The novel tells how Navier was divorced by her husband the emperor Sovieshu, so she will lose her title as an empress. But fortunately Where can I read the novel or comic? The webtoon comic from Remarried Empress is really similar to the novel, almost word for word. But the novel has some small details more and the illustrations are totally worth to see. Web novel (text + illutrations) on Naver the illustrations are so beautiful that i had to get physical copies of the volumes that are currently out right now and i would totally recommend just based of the illustrations itself. There’s some theories that say maybe it is depicted as something he could be imagining at the end of his life, as it happened with Rashta… For all her crimes and shortcomings, Rashta genuinely loves her children. She is excited and happy during her first pregnancy, and is devastated by the trauma of (supposedly) losing Ian and the resulting issues with being a good mother to Glorym.
