About this deal

o romance foi completamente deixado de lado para focar na parte do jogo/ da guerra que eu comentei na primeira review (aquela parte de jogos vorazes). agora a ayla faz parte da guerra, porque saiu querendo matar o povo lá. ô mulher burra. The plot parts were much improved. I think the cliffhanger we got at the end of this book wasn't quite as effective as the last book and there were some twists that just didn't quite work for me as well but overall it was much better and I appreciated the action. One thing I didn't mention in my review of the first book is that Ayla had one of her arms amputated 2 and half years before the main plot of the book. I don't know what it's like to lose an arm but there is so little attention paid to it that it seems like a weird inclusion. Many people who have lost limbs live very regular lives but Ayla seems to have zero issues navigating this fairly recent amputation and when she loses her prosthetic, she acts like it doesn't really matter, which is not what I think would actually happen. It just felt a bit off to me and made me feel like that aspect of her character could have been handled better. It's taken me way too long to finish this series because rather than wanting it to end, I've kept putting this off and re-read the first two lol.

I really love reading about female side characters who have some sort of personality other than being a best friend or a jealous ex.Ayla goes to a club one night and for a brief moment she saw who we later learn is Marcus, she later goes outside and sees the beginning of a drive by shooting. Ayla steps in front of the shooter who was aiming at Marcus and his friends thereby saving his life. 2 years later that night has devastating consequences as Ayla lost part of her limb from the three bullets, she's working in a bar trying to save money for college.....until an attempted mugging up ends her world once again. Now Marcus and the guys step out of the shadows into Ayla's life...... But these men are not living ordinary lives and getting involved with them puts her in grave danger Right away from the blurb, I just knew that Sweet Obsession was going to be something special. Something different. And now after reading it, I can tell you that I wasn’t wrong in the least. It is absolutely Callie Rose at her finest and hands down, my favorite book of hers to date. She always has so many stories swirling in her head and she has said that it feels incredible sharing those stories with others. However, unlike many authors, she never did have that one light bulb moment when she decided to become an author. RH though she's involved with only Marcus here I believe, the connection with the other 2 exists however

I wish I could keep going since the plot was so good but my one line is monogamy in my romance books and ryland completely destroyed that. I'm so sad this was only a three-part series but what a glorious and satisfying wrap up. I loved Ayla's character as she was tough, resilient, and didn't have much to be happy about, but wasn't jaded, and full of belligerent anger and attitude. I looovvveeeed how the relationship developed with the guys as well.sweet obsession is the first book on a reverse harem trilogy that talks about a woman, ayla, who is shot trying to save some strange’s life. this strange? marcus, her new stalker. I have never been more upset for a series to be finished, but also I’ve never been this happy. Every book in this series was pure perfection and the final one didn’t disappoint. The run for there lives with he help of Dominic, who turns out to be Ayla brother Caleb. They all banned together to kill Luca and save themselves from the other gangs chasing them. When Luca is dead they team up together and form a sort of truce gang for the city and each control a section. Callie Rose’s novel “The Lie” is an enjoyable novel that follows on from the events of the first novel of the “Kings of Linwood Academy” series of novels. Callie Rose is definitely one of my favorite RH authors. I love her writing style as it's always polished and so smooth to read. She does a great job of creating a solid and interesting plot, but also blends the relationship building aspect between the characters throughout the story without it just being about sex. There's a decent amount of steam, but you know it's more about love than just lust. I really appreciate that.

o marcus ficando noivo ?????? ai fala sério. parece fanfic querendo introduzir coisa nada a ver só para ter plot surpresa. My first read by this author and I enjoyed it. I will say that at the time of writing this review after some time has passed since I finished this book I'd actually go with a high 3 rather than 4 but that could also be because I didn't enjoy the rest of the books as much as I'd hoped. At first I was like is this another Fifty Shades of Grey, where there is an alpha male who is rich and will stalk his "obsession"? And ummm yes it was kinda like that. I think that the fact that Marcus (the beautiful earth and air eyed man) literally stalks the crap out of our main character with his two friends Theo (the goofy not serious one) and Ryland (broad silent type). Before I go on, please note there are spoilers so if you don’t want to know what happens, do not read any further. ** to conclude, ryland. nothing to say about him. joking. he was the less developed but i can already say he will be the one i will less care. he is that rude type of reverse harem guy that clearly doesn't know how to deal with his feelings so shows hate to the main character. (i kinda hate that) after the accident, the guy becomes obsessed with the girl who was capable of saving him without knowing who he was. that's why he involves his best friends almost brothers, ryland and theo to help him protecting ayla. At the beginning Marcus was the main love interest, but after he was kidnapped her relationship with Theo and Ryland developed until she cared for them a much as she did for Marcus.
