Then SM3's web swinging mechanic was garbage on the ps2 version. It was completely different than both SM3 on ps3/360, and SM2. Why would it have a worse mechanic than SM2? Why not just use the same one..?

Spidey has some serious speed in this game too – you’ll get through the city in no time, though that only means you’ll spend more time choosing whether to help people or turn a blind eye. As cool as some of Spider-Man's combat moves look, the fights are generally pretty lifeless, and the camera tends to make things frustrating. Mary Jane Watson is also kidnapped by Venom early in the game. While Spider-Man manages to stop Sandman and rescue Mary Jane, he fails to prevent Harry from killing Norman Osborn during their final battle atop Oscorp Tower. The game devs tried to work around the story problems by creating their own features outside of the main storyline, and thats what’s saved this game. Rumors were spreading, that numerous gangs (Waste Tribe, Dragon Tails, H-Bombers, and the Apocalypse) are threatening the city. After Spider-Man foils all of their plans, he went to another mission of the H-Bomber gang which was possibly kidnapping J. Jonah Jameson and killing him by Carlyle. The QTEs are overused. I don't mind QTEs in games as a whole but Spider-Man 3 spams the hell out of them. Want to swing through a sewer? QTE. This is the third Spider-Man video game to feature open world exploration, following Spider-Man 2 & Ultimate Spider-Man. Spidey's swinging animations have some work put into it. The QTEs too have some of the most exciting looking set pieces animation wise Afterward, Spider-Man reconciles with Mary Jane, while Marko is reunited with his daughter. He apologizes to Spider-Man and leaves peacefully. The game ends with Spider-Man resuming his never-ending battle against crime, while stating that the only way to honor and remember those he loves is by never giving up being Spider-Man.
