About this deal

Draw Prediction feature that enables student to create hypotheses and replay collected data to compare outcome Visualize multiple representations of a single problem-algebraic, graphical, geometric, numeric and written In addition to breakthrough classroom technology, TI also provides superior professional development for teachers as well as free activities and curriculum content.

If you’re in the market for a new graphing calculator, a TI-Nspire CX II or TI-Nspire CX II CAS would be my choice. The original TI-Nspire CX models are still available for sale in many locations, but I’d go for the new model so you can feel confident about several years of OS support. However, if you already own the older TI-Nspire CX or CX CAS, I don’t think you need to be in too much of a hurry to upgrade. The upgrades in the CX II models are nice, but they are incremental and not so dramatic that I’d be rushing out to replace a still great device. TI-Nspire Technology Version 3.0 Release Notes" (PDF). Texas Instruments. April 2011. Archived from the original (PDF) on 31 October 2021 . Retrieved 12 June 2023. Three statistical plot definitions for scatter plots, xy-line plots, histograms, regular and modified box-and-whisker plots, and normal probability plots Eighteen probability distributions functions, including the cumulative distribution function (CDF), probability density function (PDF) and inverse probability distribution function for normal, chi-squared, t-, and F- distributions; and the CDF and PDF for binomial, geometric and Poisson distributions Advanced statistics analysis, including 10 hypothesis testing functions, seven confidence interval functions and one-way analysis of varianceThe TI-Nspire is a graphing calculator line made by Texas Instruments, with the first version released on 25 September 2007. [1] [ bettersourceneeded] The calculators feature a non- QWERTY keyboard and a different key-by-key layout than Texas Instruments's previous flagship calculators such as the TI-89 series.

Four models aimed for the Chinese market were launched, with specialized features. All four models have Chinese labeled keyboards. The CX-C and CX-C CAS models are similar to CX and CX CAS, but included a concise Chinese-English dictionary. The CM-C and CM-C CAS are cheaper, featured a more stream-lined design, but have only 32MB of RAM and no port for the wireless module. [10] Plug-and-play simplicity that turns the TI-Nspire™with Touchpad graphing calculators into a adaptable data collection device in the lab, classroom or field The navigator system allows teachers to connect multiple TI-Nspire calculators to a computer through the TI-Nspire Access Point and TI-Nspire Navigator Wireless Cradles. The system includes the TI-Nspire cradle charging bay and the main system which looks like a wireless router. The Navigator system was first available when the first generation Nspires were launched, but when the TI-Nspire CX and CX CAS were released, a new wireless adapter was announced that is smaller but not compatible with the TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire Touchpad.

You” or “Your” means You personally if You will exercise the rights granted herein for Your own benefit, but it means Your Institution, if You are entering into this Agreement to exercise the rights granted herein for the benefit of such Institution. Texas Instruments (TI) is committed to student success in mathematics and science by providing advanced learning tools that have been designed in collaboration with leading educators and researchers. The TI-Nspire CX series differ from all previous TI graphing calculator models in that the CX series are the first to use a rechargeable 1,060 mAh Lithium-Ion battery (upgraded to 1,200 mAh in the 2013 revision). The device is charged via a USB cable. TI claims that the battery requires four hours to charge, that a full charge powers the device for up to two weeks under normal daily use, and that the battery should last up to 3 years before it requires replacement. The battery is user-replaceable. [8] The TI-Nspire CAS calculator is capable of displaying and evaluating values symbolically, not just as floating-point numbers. It includes algebraic functions such as a symbolic differential equation solver: deSolve(...), the complex eigenvectors of a matrix: eigVc(...), as well as calculus based functions, including limits, derivatives, and integrals. For this reason, the TI-Nspire CAS is more comparable to the TI-89 Titanium and Voyage 200 than to other calculators. Unlike the TI-Nspire, it is not compatible with the snap-in TI-84 Plus keypad. It is accepted in the SAT and AP exams (without a QWERTY keyboard) but not in the ACT, [7] IB or British GCSE and A level. The body color is grey.

The TI-Nspire CX II CAS is NOT allowed on the ACT or PreACT. The limitations tend to be a little stricter with the CAS calculators, but the TI-Nspire CX II CAS is allowed on test run by the College Board, which include the SAT and AP tests. Getting Started With Your TI-Nspire The TI-Nspire CX II also gives you the ability to plot right onto pictures, some of which are included with the device. You also have the capability to load any JPG, BMP, or PNG file onto the device and graph functions right on top. These images look surprisingly good on the TI-Nspire CX II. The idea with this image graphing feature is the study of functions/equations in real life. Think of plotting a parabola onto a real projectile motion or an ellipse around an image of a planetary orbit. What Is the TI-Nspire CX II CAS? That said, it’s been a long time since Texas Instruments has released a whole new TI-Nspire model. The move to a color display from the original grayscale models was a huge upgrade, but that was about 8 years ago. The TI-Nspire CX II is the first major upgrade for the hardware in a long time. So what are the biggest updates that come with the TI-Nspire CX II? Texas Instruments tells us they are: Matrix operations: transpose and augment matrices; use elementary row operations; find inverse, determinant and reduced row echelon forms; convert matrices to lists and vice versa; calculate eigenvalues and eigenvectorsTexas Instruments continues to be extremely active in training teachers how to teach with their TI-Nspire platform as well. “Get Nspired” is more than a catch phrase. They hold webinars demonstrating engaging ways to use the Nspire CX II that are of extremely high quality. Additionally, the last couple of years, they’ve started a series of initiatives like STEM Behind Hollywood, STEM Behind Health, mISSion imaginaTIon. These partnerships with powerful groups like the entertainment industry and NASA show students how mathematics and science can be applied in exciting fields, all of course, with your TI-Nspire graphing calculator. What Makes the TI-Nspire CX II Special? The systems of the Chinese versions are not interchangeable with those of the international models.
