About this deal

Due to several reformulations, current versions might not smell exactly like the original formula. Recent top notes include: The Dreamer was released in 1996 by World famous fashion icon Gianni Versace. Jean-Pierre Bethouart is the perfumery behind it. This was the last fragrance Gianni Versace took part in before he was shot to death in cold blood. A very horrible and tragic end to such a great person. I do believe he is proud of this fragrance though, he should be. The Dreamer is very elegant and beautiful, which are not words to describe a man’s cologne. If you shy away from compliment and don’t want any attention from the ladies then this isn’t for you. The Versace Dreamer smell begins sweet but gradually hits a masculine woody smell. Reformulated many times, the dreamer of today’s scent profile consists of Juniper, Tarragon, and Artemisia. Iris, Lily, and Flax make up the heart. In terms of season, autumn and spring are considered the best times to wear it. You may wear it in the summer, but the sweetness may become “too much” in the heat of the day.

As for occasions, it is all but close-quarter settings. The projection is light enough to allow for this. Yet, The Dreamer’s untamed tobacco can be quite decisive for some, thus off-putting. Is Versace The Dreamer Worth it?

Largely seen as Versace’s answer to Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme, Jean Pierre Bethouart formulated this scent. Jean Pierre Bethouart is known for Homme, Burberry Touch for men, and many others. What Does Dreamer Eau De Toilette Smell Like? The Dreamer makes a lasting impression but doesn’t overpower room. Lasting around 6 hours on an average day, the fragrance’s performance is excellent. Sillage and Longevity Versace Eau Fraiche is a citrus fragrance with notes of lemon, star fruit, and bergamot. At its heart, sage, cedar, tarragon, and pepper provide substance. The dry down reveals musk, amber, and woodsy notes making it a great day-to-night fragrance. Versace The Dreamer lasts 6 hours on the skin with moderate to light projection. In terms of performance, it leans more towards gentlemen-like as it’s never too overpowering – whether that’s a pro or con is up to you.

A dominant tobacco note leads after the first few minutes. It was always present but took a few minutes to really come through. Rather than your typical smooth tobacco, it’s a bit untamed, which makes it quite attention-grabbing. One of my favorite reasons to wear The Dreamer is to spice up my collection. The unique tobacco note I’ve been harping on the entire article is alluring if you enjoy the smell. The fragrance opens with a blast of sweetness. The dry-down hints of tobacco, ending with an aromatic woody trail.Let’s take a look at the original to compare the changes: Versace Dreamer Cologne Review – Original Edition The thing is that what makes this amber based cologne unusual and interesting is that the heart of it is Iris, and ONLY Iris-- which has traditionally been associated with women's fragrances in the same way vetiver has been associated with men's. The Dreamer starts sweet and gradually dries down to a warm woody scent. Top notes include clary sage, lavender, and mandarin. The heart (which seems to be what most people object to) is a combination of geranium, rose, and tobacco.
