About this deal

For example, two thrill rides, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, are far more intense than those in the U.S. As such, roller coaster lovers should make a beeline for them. Parents, on the other hand, will probably need to pause and consider whether more cautious kids in the family are ready for the more intense experience. The whole town of Val d’Europe is relatively new, having been masterplanned in conjunction with Disney. It has a Celebration/suburbia vibe to it, but with traditional French stylization. While it doesn’t have the same historical allure of the quaint villages in France, it has its own modern charm and is not too cookie cutter. All of this is to say that the hotels of Val d’Europe are probably solid options if you don’t want to pay the insane prices of Disneyland Paris hotels. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as portion sizes are large and prices are not out of line (by normal Disney standards). In addition, the design of many of these restaurants is truly impressive. Toad Hall features more detail than all of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland, and serves some pretty good fish & chips, too. Discoveryland still channels pure Jules Verne– très français. If you’re anticipating Galaxy’s Edge, you will be sorely disappointed. Families Assemble at the outdoor Hero Training Zone, and train like an avenger! This outdoor 420m2 multisport field inspired by the look and feel of New York and Marvel Super Heroes will provide dedicated areas for for the whole family including activities such as basketball, fitness and yoga.

The hotel even offers a complete range of services for little ones, including bottle warmers and babysitting services, making their stay even more special and yours even more convenient. If you’re not driving to Disneyland Paris, but still want that budget friendly option, then choose Santa Fe. Paris has a pretty comprehensive train and metro system that allows locals and tourists to travel conveniently to various destinations by public transport. The RER is slightly different from the Paris Metro as it links Paris with other destinations rather than inside Paris city centre.

Your Thoughts

Disney Village Reimagining (2024 & Beyond)– Over the next several years, Disney Village will be reimagined with new restaurants, plus refreshed shopping and entertainment offerings. This 428,000-square-foot complex will also receive an aesthetic overhaul, Our over-arching recommendation for those with finite travel budgets would be to save your money for dining in the city of Paris and eat on the cheap in Disneyland Paris. You may want to give at least one table service meal a try before adopting this strategy, though. What To Do To make matters worse, even the limited slate of restaurants that is open often closes before 5 pm. This means that lines for dinner at the 2-3 restaurants that are open into the evening hours are ridiculously long. We’ve heard frequent reports of guests waiting 45 minutes for a (terrible) burger at Cafe Hyperion. Don’t make that mistake.

There are few things more exciting in parenting than surprising your kids with something will legitimately lose their little minds over! And a surprise Disney trip reveal is one of the most fun things to put together as a parent! Surprise! We’re Going to Disney! There are also commercial shuttle bus options which follow a similar route and may be cheaper than the official Disney option. Some airlines offer this service as an additional extra when booking your flights. Phantom Manor - Fine—it is “just” a version of Haunted Mansion, but it is a good one with a unique place in its land Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant is the castle of Disneyland Park. It is our favorite Disney castle in the world. It houses a dragon underneath, one of the coolest animatronics in the worldThe unsurpassed beauty of the park is the theming and the way it has been carefully put together with a focus on design and details. Halloween and Christmas will be celebrated at Disneyland Paris to bring 2023 to a close. After that, Disneyland Paris will likely once again switch gears, trying to get easier entertainment and placemaking projects completed that will help with capacity and marketing for the Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris. (As noted above, most of the substantive additions that were planned for that have been delayed until 2025.) Our ultimate take is that the Meal Plans are a good option if dining is an important part of your trip and you plan to do your research ahead of time to determine where to eat (and make reservations ~60 days in advance). If dining isn’t so important or you don’t intend upon doing the research, skip the Disneyland Paris Meals. There’s one big reason for this… February half term is one of the cheapest times to visit during the School Holidays. During this holiday period you can expect to see lower crowd levels due to the colder weather and that many families within France and Europe tend to go skiing during this school holiday. In February you can expect the park to close earlier at around 7pm or 8pm, which is also great for children’s bedtime routines and allows them to watch the amazing night-time castle shows and fireworks! While we love Disney–and Disneyland Paris–many of these other real-world locations have been the highlights of our trips. Europe is full of amazing places that leave an indelible mark on a person. There’s so much beyond the parks at Disneyland Paris, and truly something for everyone. From history to modern culture to shady red light districts (because we’re so sure Disney fans are into that sort of thing! 😉 ), there’s truly something for everyone.

The shop next to Star Tours is best for Star Wars merchandise. Fantasyland is best for costumes. Disney & Co. (on the left hand side in Main Street) was best for stuffed toys. Bixbie Babies (at the top of Main Street next to the rotunda) is great if you are looking for a Disney Christmas ornament to grace your tree.

Please note that the pet passport scheme is no longer valid for travel in the EU. You will now need to obtain an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for your pet. Allow at least 1 month to arrange this and any relevant vaccinations. From Paris-Orly and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airports, the Magical Shuttle is available, the official shuttle that connects these two airports directly to Disneyland Paris and its hotels! The stop is well signposted and easily identifiable at the arrival terminal. The Magical Shuttle is available all year round, with a frequency of one or two trips every hour. If you’re coming from somewhere other than CDG airport, consider the Eurostar train, which also drops you off right outside Disneyland Paris’ gates. We traveled the Eurostar (aka the “Chunnel”) and it was an excellent experience. This is a great way to get to Disneyland Paris if you’re primarily visiting another major city in Europe. What’s especially nice is that a Eurostar station is right in MLV. My assumption is that this was built as part of Disney’s agreement to bring a park to Paris…because there’s no other reason why little ‘ole Marne-la-Vallee would have a Eurostar station. Overall, there’s a lot on the horizon for Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Paris. In the near future, there’s a slew of seasonal events intended to tide guests over until the big things start debuting between now and 2025. As noted above, (parts of) Avengers Campus will be first to debut, and that’s expected to be followed by the Frozen Land, and finally, a version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’ll be interesting to watch Disney’s resort complex in France continue to grow and evolve, and we’re excited about its future! Another new-ish development includes the reimagined Newport Bay Club Hotel, which we recently stayed at and reviewed.
