The only con of the Yamaha HS8 is that it isn’t the Yamaha NS10. But that isn’t the HS8’s fault. And, unfortunately, the NS10 has been discontinued. The HS8 isn’t a consolation prize, though. They look really really good. The illuminating Yamaha logo looks awesome. Built quality is really nice, they feels strong and durable. They are quite heavy but that's expected. Value for money. Compared to other studio monitors with similar features, we can say that the Yamaha Hs8 is well worth the price. It’s not easy for another monitor to come close to its controls, output, and quality. Powered, bi-amplified monitor speakers simply make the most electrical and sonic sense, and that's why they have become the first choice of sound professionals the world over for near- and mid-field monitoring applications.
