Easyjoint can be used in wet or dry conditions and is sold in a 12.5kg tub which will cover an average of 7m² depending on slab size and joint width. Bedding Mortars We supply a range of fast set, cement & resin based bedding mortars which are ideal for installing manhole covers, utility access covers, frames, highways ironwork and the bonding of granite, sandstone & porphyry setts, paving slabs, flags and bedding kerbs. Our range of high strength, bedding mortars mean roads, footpaths & highways can be reopened to traffic in as little as 40 minutes, meaning less disruption for the general public. Tarmac & Pothole Repair We offer a range of permanent pothole repair & pothole filler materials such as Ultracrete Permanent Pothole Repair, instant tarmac including Ultracrete Instant Road Repair 6 & 10mm, cold joint sealants, line marker paints and anti-skid patch repair. These all-weather jointing compounds provide excellent results rain or shine – just ask our customers! Both the bedding and sub-base must be permeable. When using a mortar bedding mix, this should be no stronger than 6:1 (sharp sand: cement). Be careful when using add-mixtures such as SBR or PVA as these can seriously affect the permeability of a mortar mix.

If heavy or prolonged rain is forecast, it is ideal to wait for drier conditions as heavy rain may disturb sand particles in the EASYJoint mix before it cures solid, giving an uneven texture. We cannot overly stress how important it is to use plenty of water before, during and after the application of EASY Joint. A hose with a fan type nozzle is perfect.
