About this deal

Heroic Willpower: one non-Wizard hero can attempt to dispel or unbind a spell for that phase like he was a wizard. the Bad Moon randomly travels through the heavens of the Mortal Realms, a thing of horror and mystery. Its path is unpredictable and those who seek to divine its path are driven mad

The Beasts of Chaos are the purest embodiment of primeval violence. These braying killers surge out from their wilderness lairs in vast herds, intent on carnage and desecration. Ever since the dawn of the Mortal Realms, they have stalked their most remote regions, butchering anyone foolish enough to trespass on their territory. Monstrous hybrids of man and animal, they consider themselves the true children of Chaos, fuelled by ferocious instincts and a deep-seated hatred of civilisation. When roused to war, they stampede across the lands, grinding cities and fortresses alike to rubble beneath their hooves. Big, strong, stupid and stupidly tough, troggoths hit hard and can regenerate any wounds they have suffered. The mighty Dankhold Troggoths and Dankhold Trogbosses are colossal, ancient creatures that are even harder to kill than other troggoths, and their odiferous presence improves the bravery of nearby Gitz.

Rules for the five most infamous Gittish Hordes, plus command traits, artefacts of power, spell lores, and battle traits like Under the Light of the Bad Moon and Beasts of the Loonlairs

Antisocial and reclusive, these behemoths dwell in the darkest… well, dankholds, where they slumber away the decades, awakening only to feast on the magical fungi that grow upon the realmstone deposits in the roots of the Mortal Realms. Such raw magic doesn’t kill the Dankhold Troggoths as it would lesser creatures, but instead mutates them into the vast, lumbering monsters you see here. This gigantic plastic kit comes loaded with spare bits, enabling you to make a boulder club-wielding Dankhold Troggoth with a variety of alternatives.” This was the kit we saw wandering around in the wild, and the minis look great! They seem to have a ton of options and plenty of trophies. Many lords maintain stables of proud and noble pegasi, while others boast of fearsome draconith steeds, or claim to have mastered even stranger heraldic beasts. These all make fine mounts for the Morbheg Knights, their charges accompanied by a joyous, ringing laughter that stupefies the gutless and craven.

New Squigs!

With each new army for Warhammer Age of Sigmar we now get a faction specific terrain piece which is deployed at the start of the battle without a points cost – think Sylvaneth Wyldwoods, Deepkin boats, Maggotkin of Nurgle trees and Beasts of Chaos herdstones. For Gloomspite Gitz, it is the Loonshrine. Skragrott the Loonking – self-styled – will be especially pleased. He’s spent many long nights communing with this selenic screwball, and has learned to harness even more moony malevolence. Drop-in fragments - colourful, fun and appropriate in a meta-context - the Gitz culture is meant to have a bricolage of life and lively fungification and wiggly things crawling up everywhere, its meant to feel a little dirty. The Bad Moon moves in one direction unless it is manipulated. Skragrott can manipulate the path of the Bad Moon – move it or hold it place. Heroic Leadership: on a 4+ (or 2+ if your general has been slain) get a command point only that hero can use.

The Grots exist since the beginning of the Mortal Realms when they followed Gorkamorka, the Destruction deity, on his quest as Beast-slayer of Sigmar. Initially they all belonged to a single tribe originally from Ghur, the Realm of Beasts. But, for reasons lost to time, the tribes split and each occupied a new biome that would then characterise their future appearance and choice of allies. Too much in-form animation? They are more like frozen images now. The island of time each figure occupies is narrower. Compare the feel of main troops to new models. Old models seem 'boring' in some ways but *still*, *repeatable*, not busy or visually morphologically frantic. There to receive meaning, not impose it. They feel more general, less specific. It looks like a proper bitch to put together what I would consider a 'normal' game. In the old days, if it was in the book you could run it. Now there are grand alliances, keyword cultures, allies, battalions which you pay points for. I only read through the rules a long time ago - but it seems that the complexity has been displaced onto a series of command or bonus bubbles.

Gittish Hordes

Gloomspite domains run deeper than any mortal can imagine and their presence is in every hidden corner. Skagrott, self-proclaimed king of the Grots, managed to conquer the land of Ayadah in Chamon, the Realm of Metal, attracting the blessing of the Bad Moon that permanently bathe with its gloomy light those lands. This battletome is also available in a luxury Limited Edition with the same exclusive trappings as the beastmen, befitting the shiniest horde of Gloomspite loot. It’s also limited to 250 numbered copies. Squigboss with Gnasha-squig
