Remember, microperfume vials come with a tiny dabber. You can miss out on some top notes when you don't have an atomizer. (important later) This is a dupe for Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad, which is a very beautiful white floral that is unfortunately dominated by an overpowering osmanthus note. If you couldn’t deal with the osmanthus note in GGGB but enjoyed the scent, this is a wonderful alternative. I also don’t go nose blind to this as I had with GGGB. For the price this is a steal, if you like this scent profile. And even if you don't , I don't see why not this fragrance cannot grow on you.

After a few minutes the florals began to come out. It was another confusing moment as it was sour smelling florals with a tinge of hairspray, but when I sniff at my wrist it was much sweeter, mostly tuberose and jasmine (that I can discern anyway) I patiently await the cooler weather so I can start wearing my generous decant of Lubin Kismet. The rich, resinous notes found in this fragrance do unfortunately nauseate me if I attempt to wear this perfume during Summer. It's also important to go light on the sprays, as a little bit goes a long way.

I didn’t expect to like this. Fruity floral? I think I have not one perfume from the 90’s. Either before or after, but not that. I love spices and plenty of other things, but fruits so often smell teenybopper on me. If it’s a small dose of fruit hidden under some other things, maybe ok. Previously, the past two times I wore Kismet it had been the other way...the base layer fragrance being dominant...and Kismet giving whispers of it's presence. I mean, those two notes together are absolutely lovely...but nothing near what the note listing said for this fragrance. I'm guessing the "Vanilla" in it makes it as creamy smooth as it is. I guess I shouldn't complain because this is a completely dapper fragrance and I'm gonna wear the hell out of it, starting tomorrow morning, but yet again...I'm completely stumped as to what the actual fragrance notes for this TRULY are.

Despite the rose note featuring prominently in Kismet's official scent pyramid, I honestly wouldn't classify this fragrance as a rose scent. The rose accord is very subtle and smells more like dried potpourri, which mind you works beautifully alongside the opoponax, patchouli and labdanum notes.Planned musk shopping ended with Kismet, yet another vintage-powder-vanilla fragrance, along with all Parfum Initial versions I already have. I found Kismet to be almost identical to Rochas Moustache EDP to the extent that it is most certainly a clone of that fragrance specifically as opposed to being a Tuxedo clone. Moustache & Kismet are as close to 1:1 that you can get in a fragrance. First spritz... And I was hit with an overwhelming scent of hairspray. Whuhhh. I was so confused. Can't figure out what's causing it.
