The Cakes appear in the same group photo on Twilight's mirror again in School Daze - Part 2. In The Parent Map, Mrs. Cake briefly appears walking outside the Castle of Friendship. Mr. and Mrs. Cake make an appearance in Pinkie Pride with their foals Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake, and sing in Pinkie the Party Planner. They make a brief appearance in the crowd at the beginning of Simple Ways, and with their foals during the The Ponytones' visit in Sugarcube Corner in Filli Vanilli. In The Last Problem, Mr. and Mrs. Cake attend Twilight Sparkle's coronation ceremony. They also briefly appear in Pinkie Pie's group shot during The Magic of Friendship Grows.

The co-owner of Ponyville’s bakery and confectionery, Sugarcube Corner, Mrs. Cake is married to Mr. Carrot Cake. Years ago, when I lived in Sheep Country, I belonged, thanks to Husband Number Two, to the Austin Healey Club. Through that group I made many friends, including Tarn and Fit, with whom I still keep in touch, mainly through Christmas Cards and occasionally with visits. In the special My Little Pony Best Gift Ever, both Mr. and Mrs. Cake are briefly seen during the song One More Day; first Mr. Cake, putting a pie on a window sill, then Mrs. Cake, pushing Pound and Pumpkin in a carriage. The couple frequently perform catering services in Ponyville, specializing in sweets and baked goods. Pinkie Pie works for them in their shop, and the Cakes show a good amount of patience for the party-loving pony, especially when she eats their merchandise or uses their shop floor as a party location. Faust has stated that they love her as a daughter. Mrs. Cup Cake has a particularly motherly affection, referring to others and even Princess Celestia herself, albeit not deliberately, as "dearie".

In Twilight's Kingdom - Part 2, the Cakes appear along with various other ponies to witness the newly formed Castle of Friendship. Bake in middle of oven, gas 4/350F/180C for one to one and a half hours until a skewer poked into the middle comes out dry. Pony Mrs. Cake appears in Ponyville talking to Warm Front. She also gets mentioned by Princess Twilight, who calls her "Miss Cake", and tells Sunset Shimmer, Rainbow Dash, and Sci-Twi that they have to try her chocolate fondue. In Hearts and Hooves Day, Mrs. Cake uncomfortably watches Big McIntosh and Cheerilee share a milkshake at Sugarcube Corner. She tells the Cutie Mark Crusaders that she's "all for romance, but this has been going on for hours."

In The Last Crusade, the Cakes get mentioned by Aunt Holiday, saying that they will watch over Scootaloo that night. They both appear later in the episode during CMC Appreciation Day. In Between Dark and Dawn, Mrs. Cake admits to Pinkie she forgot to make cupcakes for Cheerilee's class, until Princesses Celestia and Luna swoop in to help. Yippee! Sorry, Mrs Cake! is featured in 100 Scope Notes ‘Most Astonishingly Unconventional Books of 2021′! In No Second Prances, Pinkie Pie attempts to set up a friendship between Mrs. Cake and Starlight Glimmer, but fails after Starlight magically makes a cake drop on her head. Mr. and Mrs Cake also appear with their foals in A Hearth's Warming Tail during Twilight's castle party.

In The Big Mac Question, Mrs. Cake helps Sugar Belle with her plans to propose marriage to Big McIntosh, but in her desire to help, she takes on more work than she can handle by herself. In the end, she attends Big Mac and Sugar Belle's wedding. In Rainbow Roadtrip, the Cakes appear in the distance of the beginning shot of Ponyville, with Mrs. Cake standing with her foals and Mr. Cake walking towards them.
