About this deal

Button top cells are required for the BLF Q8 Plus. You also want high-drain cells. These cells are in a parallel configuration, so keeping them married is not as important (as if they were in series) but it’s still a good idea to keep them very similar. That’s better for the cells and safer for you, so just do it. I find that these fin edges to have anodizing that’s a bit frail. Just a bit of usage and the anno will probably begin to wear off. Below you can also see the stainless bezel. This bezel has a bit of shape, and that’ll allow light to escape when headstanding. The Sofirn Q8 Plus flashlight uses three 21700 cells and has six Cree XHP50.2 emitters. It runs Anduril 2 and has an indicating switch, too!

In fact, the output can go up to 4A if you discount the voltage drop – at 4A the voltage (output) drops to around 4V. That’s “out of spec” for USB, so let’s only consider what the output can be while around 5V. At 5V, the Q8 Pro can steadily output 3A. And not just a small bit of 3A output. It’ll output 3A until the powerbank shuts off with low voltage protection. In my case, that was around 3.11V. This is actually completely perfect, and the ideal scenario. Super Bright & Extremely Powerful: Sofirn Q8 Plus is equipped with 6* XHP50B LEDs. At the 16000-lumen turbo mode, the throw distance can reach 554 meters. In addition, the Q8 Plus can achieve a run time of 2.6 hours with repeated use of turbo mode (subject to ATR). This beam profile illuminates a large area with a balanced, useful light at five brightness settings. It is a perfect outdoor companion. Sofirn has used six Cree XHP50B emitters in the Q8 Plus. Mine are 6500K, but there is at least one other option (5000K, I believe). The included Sofirn 18650 cells were charged until the charging circuit completed and then each mode was tested. Each runtime test was done until the lights shut off unless they were to take over 24 hours. Mode Q8 Plus comes with a firmware called Anduril (version 202202080614 to be specific). It’s a highly-configurable and feature-rich UI that’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s a joyto use if you know it well. I’m not remotely prepared to do a whole UI breakdown, so I’ll just direct you to the official Anduril 2 Manualwhich has a UI table at the bottom. With that said, here are a few of my favorite features. Most of these are highly configurable or optional, so if you don’t like one, you can probably disable or change it!Q8 Plus uses a basic drive that’s held in by two screws. It’s got an Attiny1616 microcontroller which means you don’t have to calibrate the thermal sensor and that’s a big improvement.

ANSI FL1 standards: The runtime is measured until the light drops to 10% of its initial output (30 seconds after turning on). This does not mean that the flashlight is not usable anymore. The last column shows how long the light actually works till it shuts off. If there is a + symbol, it means that the test was stopped at that particular point, but the light was actually still running. This happens on certain occasions, with certain drivers, firmware, or batteries. Peak beam intensity and beam distance measurements Mode One more big feature of this updated Sofirn Q8 Pro is that the USB-C port (which is used for charging, as seen above) can also serve as a USB-C output, making this flashlight also a powerbank! Warning: This flashlight is recommended for adult use or under adult supervision. Keep out of reach of children! I am putting this in a table here with ToyKeeper’s permission. Thanks, TK! This is so much better than me writing it because it’s more reliable, and I completely trust its accuracy (at least, if I can paste it accurately). I’m breaking it up a little differently than ToyKeeper did, though I certainly understand why it was done her way originally. There are two versions of the Sofirn Q8 Plus flashlight, but they differ only in emitter temperature. There are 6500K (seen here) and 5000K. Either can be had with or without cells. Price

UNBELIEVABLE LONG RUNTIME: Using 3 high-capacity batteries, Q8plus can sustain 1800 lumens for 10 hours, which is as bright as a car light. This high power flashlight has a real long run time, enabling you no longer to worry about power outages. Q8 Plus includes six Cree XHP50.2 3V emitters in either 6500K or 5000K. I have 6500K. These emitters are designed for efficiency and high output, not great color properties. The lens does not appear to have any anti-reflective coating. Yes, when in operation, the light steps down brightness gradually until turning off when the cell is around 2.9 volts. This flashlight has an AR coated lens. This Anti-Reflective coating is a thin optical coating applied to the surface of the lens to minimize reflections and improve light transmission. The Q8 Plus utilizes electronic switch. Electronic switches on flashlights provide a range of advantages and additional features compared to mechanical switches. Performance Flux

This flashlight covers SO MUCH distance! It’s truly amazing, especially for how small it is (it is small for how much light it produces, but it’s on the heavier side). This section is not comprehensive. If I didn’t include a particular light here, it doesn’t mean it’s bad or doesn’t deserve to be here. I simply cannot list every possible competitor. Conclusion
