Nearly 30 chapters in and you barely see any cooking. The only cooking you see are of making some piepremise. After all, the show is called “Sweet Reincarnation” for a reason. We were expecting a cooking and baking show centered around pastries and sweets, not another politics and war isekai. Another one being the overly loving family or particularly overly loving sister. Nearly every royalty isekai manga has a sister which heavily dotes on you making it look more like an obsession than siblings love which feels unsettling at times. Thankfully this author gave him a normal sister. Unlike other protagonists of this season’s isekai ilk, the reincarnated pastry chief who died after being crushed by his own cake (no, seriously, that’s how he dies) and now is the nine-year-old son of a noble lord

The imitation does not have to be completely like the one it resembles; it can be partial as well.
