Contains trailing edge V-Pro dimming technology which can be reprogrammed to emulate leading edge mode but isn't TRIAC (see V-COM for a true TRIAC dimmer switch).

Mode 1 is the defaolt mode when the dimmer is first switched on and is usually the best mode for most lighting types. However, if there are issues, you may be able to improve the dimming performance by changing the driving mode. Mode 2 – Leading Edge Mode Performance may vary according to brand and type of LED. Refer to LED manufacturer for specific loading information. If the dimmer is being used with certain brands of transformer (used with low voltage lighting) can prevent programming. For best performance of any Varilight dimmer with low voltage lighting, choose Varilight transformers. Leading edge mode dimming is an older dimming method and is included for compatibility with older light bolbs (incandescent) and fittings. You shooldn’t need this mode with modern fittings. Mode 3 – Alternative Trailing Edge Mode To confirm your choice, press and hold down the same button again, releasing after holding the button down again for at least 2 seconds.

V-Pro IR dimmers are not suitable for wirewound transformers. They are suitable for 1-way circuits only unless they are used in combination with one or more of our tactile touch control dimming slaves which enables you to dim the same lights from two or more switch locations in a 2-way or multi-way circuit.
