About this deal

The image above was in the bar area and there were just a few lights scattered around the room so it was quite dark. The Godox TT350F was more than powerful enough to light the immediate area though. Just for reference my camera was set to ISO 1600. While the flash does have a bounce card, I prefer using reverse bounce for on-camera situations to create a larger light source coming from behind me. Long press the < MODE> button for 2 seconds so that < Multi> is displayed. Long press the < MODE> button for 2 seconds again to exit.

The lithium battery in the V350 has the same capacity as six 2000mAh Eneloops. That single lithium battery is likely large enough that you could leave the charger at home. The v350 needs a battery gauge as you are not likely to be carrying a spare propitiatory battery with you, so the gauge is there to hopefully prevent you getting caught out. With the TT350 you can judge the length of your shoot in advance and so adjust your battery requirements - by bagging another 2 (or 4) AA batteries with you. The simplest thing is to reset the camera to factory settings. Also make sure the flash is not in master mode. As a slave unit, TT350F can be controlled by the following master unit models: X1T-F. Note: When using TTL function, please update it to the newest firmware version.

The included plastic stand looks more like a shuriken than a stand for your flash, but it does the job. The 1/4-inch thread here appears to be brass and should last a while. So, if you’re mounting this on a lightstand, no need to worry. Metz M400 (TTL and HSS): This dinky little unit is from one of the most established independent flash makers. It has rear curtain sync capability, as well as HSS etc. It has a simple interface and uses 4 AA size batteries. Display" HI": When the flash output value is up to the maximum value, "HI"will be displayed and blinking for 3 seconds. Adjust the camera's parameters if underexposure appears.

Godox TT685F (TTL, HSS and wireless remote): This well-designed flash unit is on par with the best from the likes of Canon and Nikon. It takes 4 AA batteries and is a direct competitor to the Fujifilm EF-500. The TT685F is compatible with the complete Godox 2.4GHz system that includes the fabulous AD-200 and AD-600 units, among others. Pull out the wide panel and place it over the flash head as shown. The flash coverage will then be extended to 14 mm.

Combined with Godox’s capability in strobes with the AD600 and AD200, this makes it a very capable combination. There are some errors occurred during the upgrading process. Please using the correct firmware upgrade method. When the shutter button is fully pressed, the flash will fire a preflash that the camera will use to calculate exposure and flash output the instant before the photo is taken. Removing one of the lights and putting it on a stand behind our subject gives a good cross-light setup. Should you get a TT350?
