MAME has many popular Western arcade games on it that I know and love. So I was in more familiar territory. Again I tried a few random games including one of my favourites OutRun and did not see any issues with performance. Mega Drive – Sonic The Hedgehog As previously mentioned, the Miyoo Mini contains a SoC not seen before in a handheld device. It’s a Sigmastar SSD202D, which is a Cortex-A7 dual core chip running at 1.2Ghz. Paired with just 128MB of DDR3 RAM and no GPU for 3D acceleration, it is no powerhouse.

The software works smoothly, and the constant auto save feature is fantastic. Switching between games you are playing is so easy. This device has honestly been a revelation, showing just what can be achieved by a company (British – hooray!) that knows what it is doing. You pay a bit extra but that pays for the configuration which works so well. It is worth it.
