Great looks, comfortable fit, and excellent sound make these earphones an impulse buy for those looking for affordable true wireless earbuds without ANC. Intro

SoundPEATS Free2 Classic Wireless Earbuds with 30Hrs Playtime

Wearing the Free2 Classic is easy. As we described earlier, make sure the SoundPEATS logo is upright and the tips are pointed directly into your ears. We love the low-profile design. That said, they don’t protrude too far out of your ears or seem too bulky. Quite the contrary, in fact. These are some of the lowest profile SoundPEATS earbuds we’ve tried. Overall, they’re comfortable to wear, even for multi-hour listening sessions. Battery Life & Charging Once the buds are fully charged and you remove them from the case you will notice each bud has a small LED that will flash red and blue until you connect the buds to your smartphone. On the Bluetooth list on your phone select Free2 Classic from the list of connections. Now you are connected you can enjoy listening to music or a podcast. Design

Mini Pro earbuds also come with dust proof microphones and 7 Hours of single playtime on an initial charge. The earbuds are charged using the supplied USB-C cable. It will take you about 1.5 hours to full charge the Mini Pro earbuds which you will do using the charging case. With the case lid open, press and hold the charging case button for 10 seconds until the white light flashes 3 times, reset completely. The Free2 Classic is a modest offering in terms of what you get in the box, but why should it be anything else?

Some audio, such as vocal-rich country music or acoustic guitar was acceptable. The earbuds seem to deliver certain genres more accurately than others. Anything with heavy bass or deep low tones comes across as a bit weak and empty. In fact, it’s obvious that these are budget-friendly headphones; the audio simply doesn’t live up to any kind of hype. And when turned up to a maximum volume level, distortion comes across on all levels. We’re not necessarily saying these are the worst earbuds available, but they’re certainly not as capable as the SoundPEATS Mini Pro.Who would like to use these earbuds? If you are a music lover who wants a full sounding earbud with the ability to adjust the sound quality, neither of these earbuds are right for you. These earbuds are more for the cost conscious who want a reliable earbud with good sound. For instance, the Free2 Classic earbuds are good quality earbuds for your kids or someone who is a first-time user of wireless earbuds. They are inexpensive and come with good battery life and decent sound quality. Furthermore, the Free2 classic still had enough refinement to make audiophile recordings like Macy Gray’s “Stripped” sound good, providing decent soundstage and separation between the instrumental and vocal parts, along with good detail and air for the price point. No harshness up top either.

Power On: To automatically power on, open the lid of the charging case and take out both earbuds. To manually power them on, press and hold either side for 1.5 seconds. Upon their arrival, we were quite excited to open the SoundPEATS Free2 Classic and get right into listening. However, we first wanted to take note on everything that’s in the box. The earbuds come shipped within their portable charging case with a few notable accessories. First, you get a short USB-C to USB-A charging cable. It’s long enough to charge, but awfully short; not too big of deal, but worth pointing out. Next, you get a larger and smaller size set of silicone eartips. These are used to swap-out the medium-sized tips that come pre-installed. Lastly, a user guide is included. It’s multi-lingual and contains a few tips and instructions on pairing, controlling and wearing the earbuds.Take the earbud out of the case and press and hold the MFB for 1.5s to power them on manually. You will need to wear an earbud to get the tone“ Power on”. The Free2 Classic provide an ideal blend of features at a price point that’s quite enticing. Sure, they may not deliver on all fronts, but we honestly feel that most will be plenty satisfied with them. They’re compact, water reisistant and generously priced. If they’re in your budget, try them out! If you can stretch your budget a bit more, go with the Mini Pro! The mic isn't good enough for you to survive a conversation while on a noisy bus or in the city BUT do just fine on a walk. Good" enough sound has ensured I never reach for the Kato outside of the house. I ONLY use these on commutes or at the gym. Kato has been downgraded to an at-home set only. In addition, they are IPX5 rated, so they are sweat resistant for workouts, and they have metal mesh over the mics to keep dust and debris out. On the outside of each earpiece is a touch-sensitive control pad, and on the Inside there are 6mm “bio-compound” diaphragm drivers.

In the style of the smaller in-ear buds, without the stalk that hangs out. The Free2 Classic are a decent option at the price point. In terms of sound quality, the SoundPEATS Free2 earphones don’t exactly have the best sound quality, they have an acceptable amount of stereo effect and a powerful dynamic range for all types of music with excellent treble, mid-tones, and bass. Equipped with 6mm dynamic drivers that give you surprisingly clean sound with little to no noise when the ultra-low frequencies let you know where each singer was positioned, the intensity of their voice, and instrument discrimination was good and everything felt very balanced. So the Free2 Classic was great in that regard. I have been listening to these buds now for the last 2 weeks and they are enjoyable if you’re looking for a basic pair of buds. If audio quality is important to you then the Free2 Classic does output some tininess at times. So, are you looking for a cheap pair of earphones still worth the cash? Well, read on, and I’ll let you know if the SoundPEATS Free2 classic fits the bill!In my mind, the charging port alone is worth a couple of bonus points to be honest. Good work SoundPEATS, the Free2 Classic is a notch above the rest in this regard. I can finally throw some old cables away and use the same one for everything! Sounds No, there is nothing special about them. Except price. These cost less than a dongle, and they have lasted me the better part of the year with zero complaints. Listening to your favorite music with the Free2 Classic is quite simple. Once paired, simply choose your favorite tunes and begin the listening experience. They utilize Bluetooth 5.1 with an advanced audio codec (AAC) and sub-band coding (SBS). With this, their frequency response range is 20Hz to 20 kHz. Ultimately, this means good audio quality without requiring a lot of processing power. That said, the audio profile is setup to deliver favorable audio quality without lag or distortion.
