This book was a lot of fun to read. I've never read a book based off of a movie or television series before, but I'm glad I did in this case. This twist of the plot was intriguing and kept my interest until the very end. I loved the characters (and hated some of the characters) as much as I do in the show. Ms. Holder was spot on in her writing. This novel really felt like it could be an alternate reality. Plus, the setup and execution of this novel were done wonderfully. All of the information you need to understand what occurred before the story took place and about the characters is expertly woven into the story. It doesn't feel forced or like a summary at all. That was one that I was really happy about. I didn't feel like I was eating information. As the story progressed, so did my knowledge about the characters and the past. I started into this novel not having watched Teen Wolf. Don't gasp at me! I didn't realize that I was missing it in my life! About halfway through On Fire, I put it down and watch the first few episodes of season one. AND THEN: I was hooked. So basically, it's all Nancy Holder's fault for my latest obsession.
