About this deal

I got an arc from a publisher for this one and I agreed to be honest in my review. Sorry, but if you say "honest", you are going to get it.

Sarah never thinks she will call him on this promise, but she is dealing with her husband leaving her and their two children, for life with another woman. As if that is not enough, Sarah is dealing with sexual harassment at work. Her boss is holding her job and job advancement in his hands, making sexual overtures and advances, letting her know the only way to keep her job is to sleep with him. Then, working from largest to smallest unit of time, convert any decimal values to whole numbers shifting the decimal amount to a smaller time unit There is always a bit of doubt that an authors follow up book to a brilliant debut will not maintain that brilliance, sometimes it doesn’t..... but in the case of T.M.Logan it does and even slightly betters it THE CATCH, about a father convinced his daughter is about to marry a man with terrible secrets, has also been made into a TV drama for Channel 5 starring Jason Watkins, Poppy Gilbert, Aneurin Barnard and Cathy Belton (screened Jan-Feb 2023, available on My5). I couldn't begin to imagine being in Sarah's position but I am fully aware of many situations out there involving bosses and the upper echelon that use their power to gain advantage over vulnerable people. Sexual predators are evil and I fully sympathised with Sarah, understanding her constant frustration and fear of losing her job.If only this novel lived up to my expectations. Having read T.M. Logan’s last novel, I was really looking forward to “29 Seconds” – however this novel just missed the mark as I felt like the storyline left something to be desired and on the whole felt like the plot was a bit farfetched. That said, I do enjoy T.M. Logan’s writing and will be on the lookout for his next release. Sarah's situation is certainly thought provoking and had me pondering - if I were approached with the same proposition, who would that someone be that I'd like to have magically disappear. Everyone has that someone right? With a clever, original story line and colourful characters, some you root for instantly and others that make your blood boil and skin crawl, this will have you captivated from beginning to end! Multiply days, hours, minutes and seconds by a multiple, working from smallest unit of time to largest.

The situation she finds herself in with her boss is unfortunately possibly realistic, so I did feel sympathy for her. But, at the same time, I couldn't understand her actions. She did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation, but waited for someone else to save her. She didn't try to record him telling her that she had to have sex with him to keep her job. She never considered quitting, telling his wife, or filing charges against him. She even met a past victim of her boss and didn't think to get this lady's number so that they could find others and build a case. She did, however, consider sleeping with him to keep her job. So, basically this book is just being in this pathetic woman's head with her pathetic thoughts. If I liked her at all, or could relate to her in any way, I might have enjoyed it. But, I didn't. Not at all. Exciting, thrilling, totally engrossing this fast paced, twisty turny thriller is guaranteed to keep your attention and I absolutely LOVED the ending, my eyes felt like they were holding their breath and didn't want to blink!! Now this hits the midway part of the book that brought such angst and tension. From this point on the book becomes so addicting that it becomes impossible to put down. I struggle with my perception of Sarah because who she showed herself to be contradicts how she handles her decision she makes. Some make say she becomes weak because she knew what she signed up for and the consequences of dealing with her that decision. I’ll let you decide. I wasn’t expecting that ending which gave me such a nice surprise. This is the second book that I’ve read by T M Logan, and he really is exceptionally good. Give this one a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! If the seconds you are subtracting is greater than the top number, borrow 1 minute from the top minutes and add 60 to the top seconds. Then subtract.

When Sarah rescues a young girl in danger, a powerful man vows to repay the debt...all he needs is one name and that person will disappear no questions asked. Oh my gosh, this book frustrated me so much when it came to what Sarah had to face on a daily basis. I am glad our protagonist tried to maintain some morals because I don't think I would have had a problem dialling that phone number. But I just couldn't put the book down and I felt my heart racing the entire time. A good dose of a suspense and a storyline that had me hooked! I predict that this book is certainly going to be one of FALL 2019's most anticipated books.I received a free ARC of 29 SECONDS by T.M. Logan from Macmillan in an exchange for an honest review. Elizabeth Kesses said: “ T.M. Logan novels are a gift for TV with propulsive storylines and gripping plot twists. The theme of sexual harassment in the workplace makes 29 Seconds such a unique thriller. Big Light are great partners with a real focus on excellence in writing that puts story at the heart of TV production.” Here are some great pre-set timers ready to use. They range from a 1 second timer - up to a year timer! It's pointless - but you asked for it! :-)

He offers Sarah a way to solve a desperate situation with her intolerable boss. A once-in-a-lifetime deal that will make all her problems disappear. In 29 seconds your entire life could change...and you could destroy someone's life in 29 seconds...all with one little phone call... Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and T.M. Logan for an arc in exchange for an honest review.Telling the story from the unique double perspective of the harasser and his victim, One Name is a character-driven drama that explores the collateral damage and fallout of one woman’s decision in the face of abuse. and turns....right up until the last sentence and I really enjoyed the ‘will she, wont she?’, ‘has she, hasn’t she’ throughout the whole book
