About this deal

The Smart TV system is Google TV with a wide range of VOD apps from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and more, with some catch-up services but no Freeview Play or BBC iPlayer out of the box. It is fast and stable with 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos available from those apps supporting them. It drops things down to 60Hz with de-judder and Motion Clarity Pro, with the older IPQ processor using Machine Learning with SR rather than the Deep Learning capacity of those before it. You’ll also have to settle for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ with Dolby Vision IQ also limited to the C735 and above, but neither is a great loss if you don’t really need it. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying a live scene and white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) What makes the 6-Series so unique is that, despite its affordable price tag, it sports features that you’d find on TVs that cost twice as much, making it an incredible value.

TCL’s 4K Mini LED TVs for 2022

Effortlessly make one-to-one call, or join group calls with Google's video chat App. Send notes, voice or video memos, etc. Because of these gremlins, first impressions are mixed, with some strong contrast and vibrancy potential being undermined by some crushing of details in dark areas and overwrought colours. The TV’s first mistake is only providing three main picture presets: Vivid, Low Power and Movie. This really doesn’t leave viewers with enough easy options to get to a well-balanced picture they like, with each preset exhibiting enough issues to make TCL’s decision not to include some kind of Standard preset that sits somewhere between the Vivid and Movie settings seem pretty bizarre. The TCL 55C635K features it, allowing the TV to blend into its surroundings when not in use. This feature uses the TV’s sensors to detect the ambient light and color of the surrounding environment and then displays images or patterns that match the environment. This creates a more seamless and aesthetically pleasing viewing experience while conserving energy. As with several of the other manufacturers we’ve featured this year, there’s a clear progression in terms of both pricing and the ever-improving features list as you work your way from the cheapest TVs to the most expensive. This means you should be free to figure out your best option either by setting a budget and seeing what fits your limit, or by determining what features and specifications you need for your own viewing preferences and line-up your choices accordingly.

The TCL 55C635K has a wide viewing angle, which allows viewers to enjoy the picture from almost any position in the room. This is especially important for larger rooms or spaces where multiple people will watch the TV. Leveraging from TCL's latest technology of DLG (Dual Line Gate), content auto-adjust function brings a higher refresh rate and a super low latency than ever before. A much smoother gaming experience is at your fingertip. Note, of course, that these aren't HDMI 2.1 ports that can carry 4K/120Hz or 8K signals – but 4K/60 or 1440p/120 is still very much possible here. This TV is an excellent choice for gamers, with a low input lag and support for both FreeSync and VRR technologies. This ensures smooth and responsive gameplay, even in fast-paced games. The TV also has a Game Mode that optimizes the picture and sound for a better gaming experience. Viewing angles are poor as we would expect from this type of VA panel with brightness, colour and gamma shift seen as soon as you move 30 degrees off-axis to the sides or get above or below the set. Room positioning is important to get the best from this TCL C735 and when watching directly onto the screen many of the issues are mitigated, giving the TV very good image quality at the price point.

Elegant and smart: the bezeless luxury design of TCL C63K Series comes with an adjustable dual position stand.* Acting as something of a bridge between the higher-end features of the Mini LED models and the rather more affordable QLED TVs it leads the way in, the C735 has the potential to be a great all-round solution with sizes ranging from 43 to 98-inch displays – at least in Europe, with the UK set to see the 55 to 75-inch models arrive in September, with the larger 85 and 98-inch versions to follow later. The TCL 55C635K does not use MicroLED technology. MicroLED displays offer better brightness and contrast than traditional LED displays and are more energy efficient. However, MicroLED displays are still relatively new and expensive and have yet to be widely available. ONKYO speakers, specially designed for sound clarity and precision allow a more realistic Dolby Atmos sound experience at home. Crystal clear quality: Whether it's intimate dialogue or a complex soundscape, every detail comes alive in rich clarity and depth, so you won’t miss a thing. Feel more: Turn up the volume on your emotions with audio so rich and pure, you’ll feel a stronger connection to the characters and music. The TV’s speakers are less powerful than some other high-end models and may require additional speakers or a soundbar for optimal sound quality.
