The boat is made of plastic, and seems to be fairly sturdy and not too flimsy. It’s standing up well against lots of boisterous play from Mr R and Mr T. The Titan boat is compatible with other Fireman Sam sets, and suggested to go with the Ocean Rescue playset. We don’t have any other Fireman Sam play sets so far, this is our first but we may add to the collection in the future. Sam’s Titan Rescue Boat is seen in action off the coast of Pontypandy in a variety of exciting rescue adventures. As a surprise for her mother, Mandy creates the "Garden Force," a team dedicated to renovating the Floods' front garden and making it the best garden in Pontypandy. Disaster strikes when they have an accident with the lawn mower and some fertiliser, which starts a fire. James tries his hand at cooking pizzas for Gareth's railway gala, but makes too many and tries to cook all of them at the same time, only to start a fire in the cafe, and then Hannah's house. When Trevor is driving his bus to Newtown, he skids off the road and onto a frozen lake. Meanwhile, Elvis tries to give shelter to Woolly and Lambykins in the Fire Station. Norman tries to train Radar to be a sheepdog but fails miserably, causing Woolly and her lamb to run out into the road and making Mike Flood's van tip over.Helen and Penny are hiking in the mountains, but when fog sets in and Penny hurts her ankle, their flare isn't visible. The main location added for this series was the new Ocean Rescue Centre, run by new character Ben Hooper, who is a coastguard. Alongside housing Neptune, which was updated to feature a proper siren, two new water-based vehicles were introduced: a jet ski named Juno and a fire boat named Titan. Other locations added were Pontypandy Island, and the Garage, ran by Joe Sparkes, a mechanic and inventor who is as problematic and accident-prone as Mike Flood is. Joe's wife Lizzie Sparkes, a vet, and their daughter Hannah Sparkes, who is the first disabled character in the series, were introduced as well. Titan has a sonar which can be used to locate lost people as seen in The Return of Norman-Man. Titan is housed in the Ocean Rescue Centre, along with Neptune and Juno.
