So far, I really like what I’ve seen from this expansion. Avalon Hill seems to have delivered a really decent product with an interesting story. Our wizard has been hard at work brewing potions to help our heroes meet the challenge of the Dread Moon. You will see some old favorite elixirs, but without previous hero limitations. I want to mention all the folks that have helped along the way, and continue to as well! There’s a fairly hefty thanks and credits panel in the builder – everything from translations to supplying vector graphics and folks like AmalgamAsh and Always Board Never Boring for featuring the builder on YouTube too! The cloud features also allow you to share a non-editable version of the quest with anyone you choose to give the link to. This feature works very well. This implies that instead of shopping between quests, the Heroes must wait until they enter a Hideout to shop.Alright, I’m sorry you had to sit through all that, now for the part I’m most excited about. How do the Heroes stand up to the new enemies! As I don’t have my copy of the game yet, I’ll be using some stand-ins for the monsters.

The game's core mechanics revolve around a modular game board and meticulously designed miniatures, bringing the world of HeroQuest: Rise of the Dead Moon to life. Players will move their heroes across the board, exploring new areas, solving puzzles, and engaging in tactical combat against the forces of darkness. Personally I prefer my HeroQuest to be kept simple, but there is only so much that can be printed onto a card. This maybe was inevitable. Anyways, getting off topic a bit!
