Cleaning Performance
There are several differences between the Q5 and Q7, one of which is the brush roll, with the Q7 having the upgraded bristle-less roller and the Q5 using the older combo brush.
Roborock E4 Review — 97% of Debris Cleaned - Modern Castle
Next on the Roomba totem pole are the mid-level options, and nearly all the options here have self-emptying base stations. On high carpet, the results continued to be surprisingly good, capturing 98% of all debris that was tested. Again, for a budget robot vacuum, these numbers are a little unprecedented for high pile carpet. I scattered the debris in a test area, used the default cleaning cycle, and weighed the bin before and after the test to get the final scores. You’re getting a lot of functionality for the price. It is perhaps the most efficient navigating budget robot with a decent amount of thoroughness.
Our Verdict
High airflow: The E4 has excellent airflow at over 20 CFM, which is at the same level as premium options such as the Roomba S9+ and Neato D7. In terms of accuracy they appear to be equally as good. I wouldn’t say one is better or worse than the other. The E4 already has an impressively long 200-minute runtime but the extended “top up” allows for even longer cleanings. If performance is most important, the Roomba 675 is the better option. It still has app-based controls for scheduled cleanings and maintenance alerts, but the heightened performance on carpet is the biggest differentiator.
