We had plenty of warm days and judging by its output this dehumidifier does indeed remove 40 pints of moisture per day. My only problem was that there was obviously way more moisture to be removed as it ran constantly. It could never get the humidity down below 60%. This was not the machine’s fault. It is quiet and the humidistat and thermometer built into the display are precisely accurate. In late fall it was easily able to drop the humidity under 60% and the humidistat started it up and cut it off as needed. Impact on my electric bill was negligible.
