About this deal

In 2007, Britvic bought the soft drinks arm of C&C, a company which was originally founded in the 1800s by Dr Thomas Cantrell. Cantrell was a chemist at Grattan & Co, which also manufactured soft drinks and introduced the first carbonated ginger ale.

While his shops made him a millionaire, his tea business made him a multimillionaire leading to a knighthood in 1898. Tango Clear was discontinued in September 2007, after Britvic announced that they would strictly focus the Tango brand on its core flavours. [35] Other products [ edit ]

The drink's launch in June 1994 proved to be a disaster following reports of the drink fermenting on store shelves, leading to Britvic re-calling over a million bottles of the product. [18] Drinks that are crisp, clean and unsweetened. Just sparkling water infused with fruity flavours and a dash of lemon juice. You’ll never find sugar, sweeteners or anything artificial in our drinks. Delightfully simple. In March 2000, an advert originally produced in 1998, which depicted a pre-fame James Corden being bullied for not drinking Tango, was banned because it was seen as encouraging the bullying of overweight children. [40] [41] [42] The replacement was a satirically inoffensive advert, Drink Tango: It's Nice. The Drink was initially introduced in Apple and Watermelon and Lemon and Kiwi flavours, and in 2006, the brand was expanded with two more flavours - Raspberry and White Cranberry, and Orange. [34]

This latter advert was featured in the first advert break on Channel 5. [39]

VCCP is an international integrated communications agency, founded in 2002 on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels. Globally, a handful of the most talented bartenders use our mixer collection to fashion their creations and London Essence can be found in some of the world’s 50 best bars. London Essence distils botanicals for the purest flavour, creating contemporary drinks with a nostalgic twist, which pair perfectly with premium spirits.

It first launched in 1929 as a caramel-coloured lemon-lime soda, which he positioned as a drink with a 'flavour wallop'. Despite launching at the start of the Great Depression and competing against 600 other lemon-lime soft drinks already in the marketplace, the new brand sold well and by the late 1940s had become the third best-selling soft drink in the world. Determined to make his mark at a time when trade in London was booming, Mr Robinson set up his own grocery business in the late 1700s. Initially highly successful, he devoted a sizeable portion of his time and profits to charity and became a key philanthropic figure of the early 19th century, including helping patients who could not afford hospital treatment, as well as charitable initiatives alongside King George III. The following year the Gators won the Orange Bowl championship for the first time in school history. Stokely-Van Camp, Inc. then began commercial production and sale of Gatorade. The Maguary brand was founded in the city of Pedras de Fogo in 1953 by the Tavares de Melo family, the leading producers of concentrated pineapple juice in the region at the time. This concentrated juice became their signature product and a family favourite across Brazil, synonymous with quality and natural ingredients. From 1962 onwards, the family began to expand their portfolio to include cashew fruit, passion fruit, guava, mango, tamarind and grape flavours, and soon began exporting out of Brazil. Our unique blend of two sugars provides a balanced flavour and reduces crystallisation, which results in less waste and mess. The fruity drink is on a mission to appeal to a new audience, re-establishing itself in youth culture. A limited edition Mango-flavoured variety that was sold for the Summer of 2005. It was introduced to re-ignite interest in the brand. In 1970, the company introduced sugar-free 7UP, which was an immediate success among the growing number of calorie-conscious consumers.
