About this deal

I have always wondered why we couldn’t have 4G sim card slots in routers which sounds like a cliche at the very best, but at the very least it’s a reality!. Tp-Link has yet again made it in my good books with the AC1200 Archer MR600. No internet connection when using TP-Link Wireless 4G LTE Router working as 3G/4G Router Mode(Case 1) 05-17-2023 408984 As it doesn't show 4G+ but are seeing speeds in excess of the 10's of Mbps then that suggests you're just connecting to band 3 alone. Please verify the hardware version of your device for the firmware version. Wrong ISP file upgrade may damage your device and void the warranty. (Normally V1.x=V1) Some official firmware of TP-Link products can be replaced by the third party firmware such as DD-WRT. TP-Link is not obligated to provide any maintenance or support for it, and does not guarantee the performance and stability of third party firmware. Damage to the product as a result of using third party firmware will void the product's warranty. Open Source Code For Programmers (GPL) The next thing I would say would be to monitor your connected CellID over time - you can find this in your B535 router UI under [Advanced] > [System] > [Device Information] under CELL_ID. This is a unique number that identifies the cell and the mast that you are connected to at the time. It would be interesting to see if this changes when your speeds drop (which would mean you're connecting to a different cell/mast at that time). The Archer supports 802.11 ac/n/a on the 5 GHz band with speeds up to 867 Mbps. While 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz with speeds up to 400 Mbps at 2.4 GHz.Up to 64 devices can be connected to the router thanks to the Qualcomm CPU inside.

What external antenna do you have? Does it have a clear line of sight to the mast? If it's directional model is it aligned to point at your local mast? If there another mast in the area that it could be pointed at which may provide a more stable connection? To avoid wireless disconnect issue during firmware upgrade process, it's recommended to upload firmware with wired connection unless there is no LAN/Ethernet port on your TP-Link device. The sim card slot accepts micro/nano sim.Included in the box along with an RJ45 Ethernet cable, A nano to micro converter & the router itself.

There are ways to get better performance out of the Archer. TP-Link’s OneMesh platform lets you pair it with other TP-Link routers to create an ad hoc mesh. This won’t increase headline speeds but it could reduce the drop-off in other rooms. Alternatively, you can disable the MR600’s internal Wi-Fi radios and connect it to a dedicated access point or a separate mesh system, allowing you to get Wi-Fi 6 while keeping the Archer’s 4G capabilities. No, incredibly hit and miss. There doesn’t seem to be any correlation in regards to how stable the WiFi is. The technical specifications of Archer MR600 are very similar to the two predecessors. It supports 4G LTE Frequency bands as below:

A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance. To Upgrade At the rear sit the four Gigabit Ethernet ports (if you’re only using 4G internet then you can use all of these for wired clients) and a SIM slot; this uses the 15mm micro-SIM format, but an adapter for nano-SIMs is thoughtfully included in the box so you can use whichever type you have to hand. The system is starting up or firmware is being upgraded. Do not disconnect or power off the router. Do NOT turn off the power during the upgrade process, as it may cause permanent damage to the product. Do you know what frequency bands it connects with? You say it's super fast at times (what speeds?) but that could suggest it's aggregating the fast bands (band 3+1) - does it show 4G+ in the router UI? When it goes slow it may be dropping to band 20, which doesn't provide much throughput at all (it's more for coverage and deeper indoors)

With Ethernet ports and antennas, the router provides wired and wireless access for multiple computers and mobile devices.

An ISP file upgrade can update ISP information into the latest verison to improve it's current compatibility.
