Personally I don't think DIY guys need this level but cannot see how a garage offering more then simple service can operate without. The ability to save fault codes in PDF format is useful if you need to take the next step of showing your vehicle diagnosis to a mechanic. Will only cover engine, generally emission based codes, IMO if it will not give live data on those, not worth having
