About this deal

It can also help to have a portable potty training toilet seat insert with you as you travel, especially if your child is very small/young or has often had trouble with public restroom toilet seats and their size, etc. Never used a Caremat (like Jaybee says, never had them in my day LOL) and have never used Pull-ups/training pants. Some days she may not wee much though, sometimes her body will use more water than others. And other times she will hold on to it for hours then do one almighty wee that you think might never end!! DS only goes about 2/3 times a day (and poos once a day) but DD goes every hour or so, I think it's just down to individual 'holding' mechanisms.

Only put the pull up on when she is going to sleep and reinforce that by telling her over and over again that she is a big girl now and doesn't need a nappy to wee wee or poo and that if she needs one in bed to call you/DH. Any advice would be really appreciated! I have another daughter and I'm pregnant with third so I don't mind investing in something decent. I totally understand this and is a realistic option for many parents and families, and maybe the right call. There’s also a fun “I Spy” game that kids can play while they’re sitting on the toilet. And if you’re looking for even more Daniel Tiger potty products, there’s a set that comes with a Daniel doll whose pants and shoes come off for some reason, plus a toilet that makes a flush sound, and a toilet paper holder that spins. Despite the many diasters and accidents our daughter had during our 3-week family road trip, after we got home, she only got better! And a very short while later she was good to go! She now only has an accident maybe once a week, and usually just when she doesn’t quite get her pants down in time. When it comes to small children, don’t throw all your hard work down the drain. Help your potty training toddler by having a portable potty seat, a change of clothes, extra clothes and more clothes, and have them work on telling you when they need a potty break. You can continue with the toilet training and not have to worry about potty training regression! It’s potty learning time here at CSFTL. We have a little handful of kiddos who turned two this past year and new potties and undergarments abound. I’ve never thought much about it in the past, we’ve just made do with the other kids. Having gone through three car seats in one week with my last child during this period, I’m determined to keep that from happening to my precious Foonf. Our review on the Clek Foonf touches on how fun it is to disassemble!

I would prefer to leave it in the car seat with a spare for accidents. My thoughts are it needs to keep the car seat dry, and absorb as much wee as possible without my daughter feeling completely wet. Now, let’s say you don’t own a Britax or Diono seat. What do you do? It’s time to get a little old-school with the water proofing. We probably all wore them as children, and fortunately, rubber pants are still available from some retailers. While they’re not the most comfortable thing in the world (they don’t breathe at all, obviously), if placed on immediately before the trip and removed immediately thereafterFirst, make sure your child is strapped in snugly. Make sure the straps aren’t too tight or too loose, but just enough to where he is comfortable. If the straps are too tight, he may try to wiggle out of them. This car seat saver is an absolute must have when travelling with a baby or toddler. Simple insert into your infants Buggy, Stroller or Car Seat. It has a universal design thats fits any safety harness

If you want to find a potty training car seat cover, you’ll likely search for your brand of car seat and see if they have one for the same model car seat, though I am sure many of the options will work fine on any brand. Just make sure that it doesn’t interfere with the proper use and operation of your child’s car seat! I think she is just holding on and holding on - is she waiting for the Pull Ups ot is it just bladder control? I think she wees less than I do right now! I wanted to run with this momentum! I didn’t want to put it off (again). We had two weeks before our big road trip, so I decided to really give it a go. it’s a tolerable solution. Bonus: not only is the seat protected, the child’s outfit is protected as well.If you don’t want to give up (like our stubborn selves…) you may then want to consider the following recommendations for car potty training during long road trips: I won’t go into all the details of “how to potty train” (though I really need to write that article too!) but let’s just say that she hadn’t mastered her bodily functions by the time we left on our vacation. Pee almost always went in the potty, but poop was a completely different story. All of these potty training seats, pads, and protectors are just designed to help aid you in your potty training process and make potty time less dramatic and easier to clean up when accidents occur. Don’t give up hope when you do potty training and travel! Often times, it’s good to go through the “fire” once rather than walking on embers forever.

Atravel training potty is also great for when bathrooms are disgusting where you stop, your child is scared of the bathroom for some unknown reason, there is a big line, or whatever unforeseen situation arises. They can then have a safe, comfortable place to go. I have been a bit cheeky with her this nap time. I have left her pants on and put the Pulls Ups over them. The reason behind it isn't being mean really, but seeing if she is just waiting to wee in her Pulls Up and not on potty. If this is the case I imagine her calling out to me very soon as she HATES having wet pants. What did I say!!! As I typed originally she called out for me saying that she wanted a wee. Lo and behold, I got her Pull Ups/pants down so she could sit ont he potty - but they were already wet!Consider letting them go commando underneath their skirts or pants, especially if timing is an issue First day was fab - lots of wees on potty, and going about once an hour in the am, lots just after lunch (glass of juice) and then about 2 hours after nap time. Perfect to use during travel whilst using Children's Night Bed pads, Mattress protectors or disposable covers at home.
