This does beg the question ‘if no-dig growing is so good, why does anyone dig over their plot nowadays?’ If you are working close to the ground, level the soil after digging using a hand rake and feel as you go. As the end credits begin, text explains the fate of Edith and the recovered objects. Edith died in 1942. The treasure was hidden in the London Underground during the war and first exhibited—without any mention of Basil Brown—nine years after Edith's death. I’m just a rookie but I’m of the opinion that, if you like digging, then go dig – digging definitely offers its own pleasure and satisfaction. But, if you don’t want to dig, then grow green manure and kill it by cutting it and covering it.
