The Dulcolax range is used for the short term treatment of occasional constipation, always read the label. Adult: As an aqueous solution containing 105 g/l of the Dulcosoft: 125 ml up to tid for a max of 2 wk. Max: 3-4 litres. Within the dose recommendation the dose can be adjusted to your individual needs. It may range from one sachet every other day to two sachets per day. The right dose is the lowest dose to product regular soft stools. Enema – normally 1 tube of liquid is all you need. If you need a second dose, you can use it later in the day or the next day. What is in this leaflet

Child: As an aqueous solution containing 105 g/l of the Dulcosoft: 2-6 yr, 62.5 ml daily. 7-11 yr, 125 ml daily. Max: 250 ml. Oral Docusate does not usually upset your stomach. You can take the capsules or liquid with or without food. Try to take your medicine at regular intervals throughout the day. Mealtimes (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are useful reminders.
