I love the vintage vibe and shape it has. And surprisingly enough, it pairs with many outfits and styles without drawing too much attention. I really didn’t expect a square case to work that well from a style and fashion point of view. o Features - It has a lot of features and with 3 Second light, Timer, Alarm, World Time and water resist that works for me Whether in Europe, North America and Japan or in the outer reaches of Canada, Central America and China - once the watch has been set to the local time, it receives the relevant signal and shows the correct time wherever you are. In many countries, it also sets itself automatically to summer and winter time. Technical amendments and errors excepted. The sizes in figures do not correspond to the original sizes.

Tough Solar (CASIO’s original solar-charging system converts not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources into power)m of water resistance, which is not always the case on all electronic watches (just don’t wear your watch in the shower, better safe than sorry). Meaning you can ash your hand, swim and dive with this one no problem. The home screen: y ou can’t have the local and home time zones displayed at the same time on the home screen. That would have been a nice feature to have! Style If solar power was not enough, this watchputs itself in power save mode (sleep mode) and shuts down the screen to save even more power. And even without power save mode or sun, it will still operate for 10 months straight (using it 18 hours a day). So really… don’t fear any power outage here!

This watch seems a successor to the GW-M5610BA-1JF (picture here tactically acquired from @windows95 ) A world time function that allows you to know exactly which time it is in48 cities and 29 time zones. Why 29 you ask? Because it also takes into consideration “half time zones”, that you can find in Teheran, Dehli or Adelaide, to name a few.

o Smallish display - Being older, it's not always easy to read all the text, the time is fine but could be bigger and date is mostly readable, but everything else need 2x mag for me The original Tough Solar power system employs not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources to recharge the battery and provide ample motive power.

o Buttons - I like the recessed buttons, I only had one incident where the alarm was accidentally enabled (Anybody tell me how that happened as it takes two different buttons to set ) This is my go-to piece when I’m in a hurry.I know it’s gonna be always running, always on time and I’m not afraid of damaging it. And it’s so lightweight you almost forget that you’re wearing a watch! I have to say I’m firmly in the camp that the 3495 is a huge improvement over the previous modules. I wasn’t even interested in one of the Squares until I discovered Casio had upgraded the module. The button tones for using the mode button can be turned off. This means that the watch no longer beeps when switching from one function to another. Preset alarm or countdown timers remain active when the button tones are deactivated.For fans of precision: the countdown timers help you to remember specific or recurring events by giving off an audible signal at a preset time. The time can be set to the nearest minute and up to 24 hours in advance. Ideal for people who need to take medicines every day or those who do interval training.

It still runs to a maximum of 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds, but the old module offered 1/100 of a second for the full maximum duration of the stopwatch. With the new module, 1/100 of a second is only available for the first hour (59′ 59” 99”’), thereafter the maximum accuracy is one second.
