About this deal

Michelin 12266 Programmable Digital Tyre Inflator is an ideal device to inflate flat tyres. This is a high power tyre inflator and can inflate tyres from 0 to 30 psi in approx 3minutes. Michelin 12266 Tyre Inflator comes with a white L.C.D. Digital Display and a 60 cm long high pressure air hose It's very simple to use, just follow the instructions and you're set. The connector is great, easy to screw in and it ensures a seal and consequently fast infla tion. I haven't inflated a really soft tyre but I've been topping up my tyres each month and I love the simplicity of the set up and the convenience. I can see why Michelin would put its name to this. While the Michelin tyre inflator is one of the best available in the market, it has some negatives as well. For a start, Michelin says that this inflator should not be used to inflate space saver tyres. There are several excellent reasons why it makes good sense to have a top up tyre inflator in your car at all times. Imagine you are driving and you feel that one of your tyres is low on pressure. No longer you have to wait to reach the nearest petrol pump. No need to stand in queues at petrol pumps to top up the tyre air.BHPian Aditya recently shared this with other enthusiasts. Michelin Programmable Fast Flow Digital Tyre Inflator Review The Michelin tyre inflator can be used to inflate tyres of cars, motorcycles, trailers, caravans and bicycles. You can also use it to inflate footballs, toys and other inflatable items. The maximum tyre inflation pressure for cars is 50 PSI and bicycle tyres can be inflated up to 100 PSI. Note that higher pressures can be achieved in cycle tyres due to their smaller air volumes compared to car tyres. Price Each of the inflators tested here has a gauge that gives you an instant readout that lets you know whether the tyre needs pumping. To use them, simply remove the dust cap from the valve on the tyre and push the end of the air hose over it, before pressing or releasing any catch to clamp it in place. Petrol station tyre inflators have pressure gauges, too, but these aren’t always accurate so it’s best to test using your own equipment.

I'm using a Windek inflator from 2017 and is working fine. The only problem is screwing and unscrewing the nozzle is a pain. I had posted a query on the other inflator thread as well. Turn the key to "accessory" mode and the display screen comes alive. Now use the "+" and "-" buttons to pre-set the desired tyre pressure and press the yellow ON/OFF switch. The inflator immediately starts pumping up the tyre. Once the pre-set pressure is reached, the inflator switches off on its own. Once done, unscrew the nozzle from the valve. Inflation Time Larger inflators include rechargeable batteries, which make them completely portable. These are a better option if you want to pump up, say, bicycle tyres, without having to wheel the bike next to your car. You may also need a larger inflator for tyres that need higher-than-average pressures, such as a larger van or campervan. What about extras? The inflator is well-built and feels sturdy. The finish of the product is also top-notch with no rough edges anywhere. The switches are decently sized and are easy to press. The quality of the air hose is fine too. There is also a dedicated button through which you can choose the desired unit of pressure between PSI, BAR and kPa.Answer: Yes, turning on the engine while using your Tyre Inflator ensures that the car battery is not drained.
