About this deal

On iPhone 6+ the presentation is more balanced and detailed with less grain in the vocal timbre as well. Overall, the performance is full-bodied, dynamic and spacious> Using audiophile masterings it is an enjoyable pairing. With streaming services such as Spotify, the pairing is a bit bassier. I would recommend the pairing with Tidal, where western songs and older Asian pops work better than modern J/Kpop mixes that deliver muddier bass and a sharper treble. Disclaimer: The soundMAGIC E11C was sent to us a sample in exchange for our honest opinion. We thank soundMAGIC& Hifiheadphones.co.uk for this opportunity.

Another great pair of SoundMagic budget earphones, the E11C in-ears continue the fine work of their predecessors and deliver an entertaining, upfront sound, complete with a remote control and mic. And we can’t argue with that. Its cabling is translucent too, again a classier look than the glossy sheath of most current E10 series variants. Calling these the most grown-up looking earphones SoundMagic has made does not seem a stretch. SoundMagic might have got rid of the red cable from its headphones, but otherwise the E11Cs look identical to their forebears, with a typical cylindrical, aluminium casing design and a choice of small, medium and large silicone tips, which are also now silver. There’s a storage case, too, which is handy for avoiding cable spaghetti when stashing them in a bag. Their visual impact could not be more different, though. I have recommended the SoundMagic E10 to countless people over the years, but I have never liked their paint jobs much. The entry-level models have a brash two-tone design that will look, to some, juvenile.Never-ending innovation coming from SoundMAGIC with an update of the acclaimed E10 earphones with the upgraded E10C. While retaining the superb sound qualities of the predecessor, the E10C has been equipped with a 3-button remote with automatic switching between Apple and Android smartphones for interchanging devices with ease.

They hold their own, though, thanks to a clean, organised and direct presentation that’s immediately rewarding. They’re also comfortable and easy to live with, which goes a long way when you’re looking for the perfect pair of in-ears. The SoundMagic E50 shed most of the low frequency emphasis, giving them a more balanced, grown-up sound that I find more satisfying. However, if bonus bass is what you’re after then the SoundMagic E10C pull off this sound signature better than the rival Sennheiser CX3.00. Should you buy the SoundMagic E10C? The SoundMagic E80C buds come with more sizing options – almost a dozen are in the box, in fact. This makes it easy to get a good, comfortable seal that gives you the best bass performance while also staying secure in your ears.

About SoundMAGIC Headphones

They are no minor tweak. The SoundMagic E11C may look familiar, but the sound is radically different to the E10’s. Some of the relaxed smoothness has gone, but much better dynamics and mid-range definition make these earphones a clear league ahead of their predecessors.

The in-ear design combined with the right eartips seals music in and leaves unwanted noise out. Lower volume requirements allow you to protect your hearing from damage loud music can cause. The SoundMagic E11C are more grown-up, with subtler colours and a large matt segment in place of a glossy one. SoundMagic calls the finish silver, but there’s actually a subtle gold hint that further softens the tone. On the cable for the left earphone you'll find the remote control and mic. It’s a standard three-button, giving you volume and stop/start functionality. As has become the norm, the remote is light and unobtrusive, so you shouldn’t suffer from unwanted cable noise. Ergonomically designed sound tubes sit perfectly in the ear canal and stay in the ear comfortably without falling out. The SoundMagic E11C’s outer design is structurally similar to the old E10’s. These are aluminium earpieces with large apertures and a little piece of silicone rubber where metal and cable meet.Previous incarnations of the range (such as the E10S/ E50S) had a bulky switch that you toggled depending on whether you were using the in-line controls with an Android or Apple smartphone.

It’s also worth pointing out the sensitivity rating of 112dB is pretty high, meaning the SoundMagic E11C in-ears can deliver plenty of volume. It also means they’ll use less of your device’s power at average listening volume, which is a bonus. Verdict What I’m most impressed by is the deftness of the stereo imaging, which, when combined with a fairly large soundstage, give the SoundMagic E10C an involving and “big” sound. I also tested them with Moto G5s plus and Nokia 6.1 plus.Same results......I am surprised how they got so many 5 stars!😧 Well there are as many types of ears as there are humans!🙂
