About this deal

The size you pick should be based on your individual needs, as well as the activities you might be doing while using it.

Like the GSI Microlight, the stainless steel outer wall is necessarily thin and will dent more easily than others. Need to know: Not dishwasher safe, twist-and-pour stopper, glass and plastic materials, comes with two cups, available in a range of colours, also available in 500ml and 1.The Smardy flask is manufactured with high-quality stainless steel that makes it extremely durable and we are confident it will perform well over the long-term. The Warranty does not cover damages resulting from accidents, mishandling or tampering with the mechanism. Since the American manufacturer, Thermos, came to fame, the term has become slang for vacuum-insulated flasks. In addition, many larger flasks incorporate ‘twist and pour’ spouts, so you can pour from the flask without having to completely remove the stopper. That’s why liquids in the flask remain hot or cold for longer than they would in a standard plastic bottle.

Made in Australia this Decor 1 Litre flask has been made in olive to suit military use and is exclusively available through Platatac and its retailers. The hordes of 5-star reviews more than outweigh the small number of unhappy owners – we like the Oneisall and can recommend it based on our experience. c / Made from 18/8 stainless steel / Leak-proof / Insulated lid doubles as a cup / Dishwasher safe / Lifetime warranty. In terms of tech, the Oneisall employs a copper-coated layer outside of the vacuum space which ensures that the flask keeps your drinks hot without any heat reaching the outer surface. Pyrex™ Büchner Flask with Screw Thread Connector features heavy wall construction for vacuum filtration applications, and tooled neck to accept a drilled rubber stopper.

The mouth of the flask is relatively narrow, which probably helps to keep heat in but makes filling and cleaning a little tricky. We tested the bottle’s impressive claims of keeping hot drinks hot for 28 hours and cold drinks iced for 92 hours and it lived up to both. Their 20oz Roaster bottle – that’s a capacity of just under 600ml, for us Brits and Europeans – has a standard double-wall vacuum insulated build in 18/8 stainless steel. We then refilled them with water at 90°c to simulate the temperature of hot coffee and fitted the screw tops and cups.

This innovative flask has a leak-proof cap with an unusual twist stopper that allows 360° drinking from any angle. Both the flask and the cup have rubberised silicone bases to prevent them from sliding around on a flat surface. Having said that, our temperature test showed that long-term heat retention performance doesn’t match up to other flasks of similar capacity. It’s a good value flask with solid all-round performance, finishing a respectable sixth overall in our temperature test. Using a flask is actually also a very responsible thing to do in terms of recycling – apparently 99.Slurping soup is great fun from the Milu – in fact, we’ve started using it at home because it keeps your minestrone piping hot, unlike a cold china bowl from the cupboard. On the other hand, it is fairly bulky for a 750ml flask, with a small cup compared to some other designs. We have personally used these items and have tried to provide honest and authentic reviews based on our experience. Need to know: Dishwasher safe, twist-off lid, available in a range of colours, no cup, also available in 532ml, 596ml and 946ml sizes, lifetime warranty Jack Wolfskin Kolima 1. We also filled the flasks or cups with boiled water and then used that water to make a cup of tea for our 'tea test', and scored it out of ten based on how hot the resulting drink was.
