Positano has 3,800 residents, so it's the sort of town where everybody knows everybody and you easily spot a visitor. He took me to this little place where he always stayed, one of these smaller family owned places, Casa Cosenza.

You'll see houses precariously clinging to a cliff edge with no indication of how you even get to the house from the road above--or below--and how you would even get your groceries to your door. You're going to come up with all sorts of problems, whether it's bureaucratical or the language or just the way of life, it's always going to be different and I think anybody will find pros and cons of settling into somewhere new.Why make it seem ok that they can have flings, ‘just’ because their current wife/partner, though convenient, is ‘boring’, but he-ho as a man, he can’t live without excitement so a fling is completely justified? I like the story and the characters with their development, but the ending was a bit weird and chringe. When I got a job in 2001 working in a hotel as the hostess in a restaurant the chef would bit by bit teach me how to make little things like certain pasta sauces and how to cook fish and things like that.

It takes a good few days to edit and choose the music and add the subtitles and put all the bits together. This is a book teeming with the joys and wildness of youth, the sights, sounds and smells of summer days, beautifully encapsulated within its pages. And I love the fact that I can make food from what we have in our garden, which is a huge thing for us nowadays. It was too much back and forth; however I did stay for the wonderful Amalfi Coast and Italian food descriptions. The story was beautifully layered to establish the sense of place, the characters and the drama that unfolds.Throughly enjoyable, loved knowing some of the locations and trying to figure out which characters I’ve seen in her videos. I seldom read a book these days, and never soppy romances, but I could not put this down as I recognised so many places and people.

And then this old abandoned property up in the mountains that his family had, that nobody wanted to live in was available.
