About this deal

Competent-sounding stereo versions of "She Loves You" have been created unofficially using the backing track from " Sie Liebt Dich", but the engineers who prepared the remasters elected not to do this.

On the Japanese Oricon weekly album charts, it debuted at number 6, selling over 35,000 copies in its first week. The individual documentaries are also to be found on the 13 original CDs as QuickTime files for viewing on a computer. However, some sources state that due to a mixup, the true 1969 mix is available only on the Japan Super High Material (SHM) CD release, and that the mix on all other releases combines elements from both the 1969 mix and the 1970 mix of the Get Back album.

Apart from the well doccumented longer un-cut edits and tweaks of mixes that are included in this excellent set there are just two serious and needless flaws and gaffs.

Much of Revolver’s music and lyrics reflect the band’s experiments with mind-expanding drugs – She Said She Said was inspired by a pre-fame Peter Fonda interrupting a Lennon acid trip. The rare versions included (see note from anygreg) make this an interesting listen even for hardcore fans.

As others have already mentioned, this is a very well pressed and mastered box set and a bit of a rarity and oddity in that I can’t think of any other set that contains the same tracks all together in one set. This was the last Beatles release issued during John Lennon's lifetime before his murder the following month. John Lennon's 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band' to be celebrated in new 'Ultimate Collection' reissue". This is also the case for the single version of " Love Me Do" with Ringo Starr on drums but at some point, even the mixed down mono tape of this version of the song was lost. The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill - appears as it does on The Beatles ("white album"), minus the opening guitar obbligato. The Beatles (Stereo USB)(Box Set, Limited Edition, Compilation, Memory Stick, , 226×File, FLAC, Remastered, Stereo, 24-bit 44. It is the second complete box set collection of original Beatles recordings after The Beatles Box Set (1988).

In an online review, music critic David Quantick stated the box set "does wonders for the record" and that it gives the listener "a bird’s-eye view of the sessions". It should also be noted that due to the huge roll out (at the beginning of the vinyl revival) were a lot of quality control reports during the first release of the US pressings ( The Beatles - The Beatles) from Rainbo Records. Every release of these four songs has been in mono (or simulated stereo) and they appear in mono on the stereo version of Past Masters and Please Please Me. Also includes: Deluxe 252 page 12"x12" hardback book which tells the story of The Beatles album by album and with fascinating new essays on the historical importance of vinyl and the mastering process. There are sound excerpts from various songs, accompanied by still photos, clips of television appearances, footage from inside recording sessions, film footage from their final photo session, and material from the five Beatles films A Hard Day's Night, Help! The reissue of The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver has been officially confirmed and is coming in late October. While not a sonic recreation of the original 1960's pressings, it's clear that the Abbey Road team wanted to represent the sound of 2009 Digital Remasters on vinyl.
