Alta Vista is a wonderful expression of multiple terroirs, given that it is produced from 5 different vineyards in Mendoza. Deep ruby/purple, with aromas of smoke, dark fruit, chocolate and floral and spicy hints; extra dry with medium-plus body and medium tannins; spicy dark fruit flavours persist on a medium-length finish, with smoky and chocolate notes speaking to generous oak ageing.Bright acidity and silky tannin give a nicely balanced wine in a restrained style with integrated fruit, wood and structure and good length. I highly recommend enjoying this bottle of Don David Blend of Terroirs Malbec alongside a leg of lamb well-seasoned with mint and other fresh herbs.
