This feature makes it a fantastic ambient light for home offices that may not feature a lot of natural lighting. We review all kinds of things that have apps that connect to the device and aren't HomeKit compatible. While it isn't for everyone, the Govee Glide is a fantastic lighting system that we wholeheartedly recommend. I haven't used Philips Hue to comment, but in the case of Nanoleaf, Govee has certainly converted me. We weren't expecting the Glide to be as large as it was, so while we started on the table, we quickly realized that we'd need to move to the floor. It doesn't bother me too much because I tend to listen to music or play games when I'm in my office. The Govee Glide wall light is truly great, giving you a broad array of lighting options in a relatively cheap and cheerful package. And if you're not into creating your own schemes, you can pick from the more than 40 presets they have, that range from simple gradients to animated scenes, and even include presets for things like a nightlight mode, as pictured above.
The cord only fits on a particular end of the light bar, which means you may end up being a bit further away from an outlet you intended to use. stars every product I have purchased from govee never disappoints, High quality packaging that makes the unboxing experience amazing, very easy to setup new light modules and the govee app is amazing, these lights are great around a doorway or highlighting an object, I love the ambience they create, definitely worth it, every govee product is very good quality and not one will dissapoint!
Each panel creates effects that are pleasing to the eyes with RGBIC technology, music modes, DIY mode, and more. Each tube comes with two adhesive stickers on the reverse, which are powerful but not so sticky that they'll take the paint off your walls thankfully. Additionally, removing the light tubes from the wall actually removes the adhesive strip from the tube, and re-attaching them is difficult without more adhesive.No matter what I tried, the connection seemed intermittent at best, falling back into setup mode and flickering in the night — which is the last thing you want when you're trying to sleep. However you need a clear design in your head before attaching them to your chosen area, as the connectors are very fiddly and only fit in one way.
Snapping them together should be done on a flat, even surface, preferably something like a laminate or hardwood floor. The Govee Glide proves to me that they can offer a similar experience to the competition for much less, and that's a clear win. Once together, Govee then suggests that you take them apart before placing them on the wall one piece at a time. The three almost triangles above one another are 3 seperate ones and powerd indevidualy, i did not like when i found this out after purchasing. I was a Nanoleaf man up until recently, when app updates not only nuked their usability, but also their connectivity with my router.
If you were planning to use these lights in a very quiet space, if you're sitting close to them, it may bug you. The panels kept falling off the wall so I had to replace the adhesive with adhesive I know that works on my walls.
