About this deal

Você quer MUITO saber pra onde estão indo as pessoas que desaparecem, qual é o grande mistério por trás, quem são os criadores desse jogo e qual é o propósito de tudo. The colours were vibrant and each panel gave the feel of an amusement park, despite its disuse and disrepair. From way too many references of peeing and two main characters with the exact same name, this was one confusing mess with way too many characters. Now, a few days after reading it, I still find myself reimagining this park, some events, and enjoying it more with each passing day.

Again, I avoid horror like an abandoned amusement park), I found that the driving motivations of the story’s villains were well-explained (but not justified! The reader may think as they're reading that there will be a predictable outcome but they couldn't be more wrong. Seemingly selected at random from some sort of need-based selection process, the fourteen individuals are complete strangers and come from locations scattered throughout the United States. This was a horror story blended with the supernatural yet it touched upon many current social issues that all of society is dealing with today as in violence, domestic abuse, murder, racism, physical appearance, bigotry, PTSD, economic class etc which were wonderful assets brought into a horror story. The ending had me hoping for a little more but was still a satisfactory conclusion to a stellar story.Additionally, it jumped around a lot, it was hard to engage with any of the characters or what they were feeling. Di Bartolo follows Lips Touch: Three Times—his acclaimed 2009 collaboration with his wife, Laini Taylor—with a project that gives him more scope for story. Thank you to the authors and illustrators, Kiersten White, Veronica Fish, Andy Fish, and Scott Peterson, and the publisher, Ten Speed Press, for this opportunity. The only reason I feel that a 3 star rating is fair is because despite the wonky pacing and rapid shifting of POV's it was able to hold my attention from start to finish.

While the vast array of characters felt too same-y in the regular book, they were so much easier to tell apart with visual depictions (kudos to the artist for making even fairly similar characters very easy to tell apart! Mais pro fim, comecei até a me importar com os personagens, que de fato são a parte mais fraca da história. She excels at staying hidden and has been doing so her entire life, since the time the rest of her family were taken from her, and sees no reason why she should fail at doing so now. But there are definitely ⚠️trigger warnings⚠️ needed for abuse, self harm, suicide, and general gore. Please look around for information on my books, answers to frequently asked questions, and all the news that’s fit to remember to post about two months after I should have. But I think this just has too many characters and I wish it had spent more time on the actual hiding/seeking component.
