I later read it to my grandchildren who had never heard it before and they enjoyed the fantasy plot of Lyle and Loretta's conflicts. Imagine getting used to having a crocodile around the house because of how helpful and smart and entertaining he is! He broke very young, while he’ was super vulnerable, and had huge amounts of pressure placed on him. Produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Eagle Pictures and TSG Entertainment II, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is an adaptation of the children's story of the same name and its predecessor The House on East 88th Street by Bernard Waber. Children will enjoy reading about Lyle’s antics and the unique illustrations that bring the story to life.Grumps and his cat, Loretta, don't like crocodiles, and everything Lyle does to win them over seems to go wrong. Somewhere around a level 2 reading book, this might be good for new readers wanting to read on their own. Possibly Martin Scorsese will make a darker, more badass live action epic that's all New York, and maybe Valenti will be portrayed by Al Pacino because Duh! find your voice, and the need to feel loved and supported to become the best version of yourself, which I think is him on a massive scale. In this one the family moves into the house on East 88th street and meets Lyle the crocodile who is living in their bathtub and he soon becomes part of the family.

But Lyle's sweet spirit wins over the crowd, and the Primms are more than eager to have him part of the family. Javier Bardem stars as Hector, a struggling magician who stumbles upon a talented young croc with a love for singing.I love the look and the writing style of Waber, and there are always scenes in his stories that stick with me! At age 8, he ushered in a movie theater after school, so he often saw only the last ten minutes of a movie. Waber’s unique style and heartwarming stories have earned him critical acclaim and a devoted following among readers of all ages. And they would come back weeks later, and they would video themselves sitting there, just performing the song.
